U.S. politicians often have similar backgrounds. Whether it be in sciences or law or economics, there are quite a few predictable paths to politics. Nathan Johnson isn’t an exception. He got his law degree in 1993 from the University of Texas School of Law. But, there’s a little more to Johnson’s background. He also composed scores for one of the most popular anime series of all time: Dragon Ball Z. The newly elected Democrat for Senate District 16 — which includes the city of Garland, Texas — flipped the state senate seat with just over 54 percent of the vote over incumbent Republican Donald Huffines. Anime Month is upon us and Microsoft has been celebrating all month with special savings. Although, today’s Dragon Ball Z Season 1 Microsoft Store free giveaway might be the most generous deal of them all. For the low price of nothing, people can go to the Microsoft Store and download all 39 episodes (over 16 hours) of Dragon Ball Z‘s first season in English, which normally costs $29.99. This specific deal lasts until July 24 on the Xbox One, PC, HoloLens, and supported mobile devices. Although not quite free, some of Dragon Ball Z‘s other seasons are also on sale. People can pick up season two through season five for $10 each. Seasons six through nine are still $29.99. That’s nearly a $30 discount on the regular price. Anyone with a Microsoft account can now download and own all 39 episodes of the first season, no premium subscription required. The season will be free through July 24and is available on Xbox One, PC, mobile devices, and HoloLens. Dragon Ball Z ran for 291 episodes and premiered in 1986 in Japan. Its first season focuses primarily on the relationship between adult Goku and his son, Gohan, as they deal with the ramifications of a shocking revelation: Goku (born Kakarot) was actually a Saiyan sent to destroy Earth who failed his mission after suffering memory loss. Dragon Ball Heroes, the latest Dragon Ball series following the ending of Dragon Ball Super, comes out this summer. With a trailer out and a release date of July 1, Dragon Ball Heroes is drumming up excitement among longtime fans. With hype for new content comes nostalgia for the old, and some fans may be looking back on previous adventures. Luckily for nostalgic fans, they’ll get a chance to relive some of action from the early Dragon Ball films. Three Dragon Ball Z movies from the 1990s have been remastered, and their English dubs will be released in select U.S. theaters this fall.
