One of the more bemusing box office successes of 2019 is Dragon Ball Super: Broly. The 20th Dragon Ball film and the first to tie into the recently ended Dragon Ball Super anime, the film was the highest-grossing movie in America the day it opened and eventually racked up over $30 million at the U.S. box office. That’s an impressive feat, and a long time coming. Given that us Millennials are now in the prime of life as far as advertisers are concerned, and that the majority of them grew up watching anime — either on TV or fansubbed online — this sort of thing is a long time coming. Android 17 Is The Next Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC Character, Coming Late September
Even though Cooler was added to the roster for Dragon Ball FighterZ several months ago as a DLC character, Arc System Works isn’t done yet. Another Android will be coming to the list of Dragon Ball FighterZ DLC characters, and it’s another old friend; Android 17, Android 18’s brother and another former android. 17 will be the most recent DLC character, available, after a variety of other characters like Bardock, Broly, Zamasu, Goku Black, and Frieza’s brother Cooler. 17, much like 18 and 16, debuted during Dragon Ball Z’s Cell Saga, where they were originally used by Doctor Gero to hunt down and kill Son Goku. However, after that arc was finished they went their separate ways, with 18 marrying Krillin and 17 becoming a park ranger. He recently appeared in Dragon Ball Super, helping Universe 7 fight in the Tournament of Power alongside 18. 17 has a number of different abilities compared to 18. Dragon Ball FighterZ Releases New Bardock And Broly Characters To The Game
Dragon Ball FighterZ fans will likely be in for a treat now, since Bardock and Broly, the game’s first two DLC characters, have been added to the game today. While they’re movie exclusive, both characters are some of the franchise’s most distinct, and will likely bring a lot to the game. Broly is a recurring villain in the Dragon Ball movie universe, harboring an irrational hatred of Goku (seriously, the reason he hates him so much is because Goku cried constantly and Broly was in the crib next to him). Seen by some as the Super Saiyan told of in legends, Broly appeared three different times before being permanently killed, but was brought into the main canon in the form of Kale, who was part of Universe 6’s team in the Tournament of Power in Dragon Ball Super. The latest Dragon Ball FighterZ clip shows off one of the fighters on the roster, Hit. This new video follows the one released yesterday showing off Goku Black in Dragon Ball FighterZ. Also known as Hit the Infallible, the fighter shows almost zero emotion and tends to be rather indifferent to the events going on around him. Over 1,000 years old, the assassin hails from Universe 6 and is “the strongest member of his team led by Champa.” One of his major abilities is being able to manipulate time by using Time-Skip. This ability allows Hit to freeze time and jump forward by just a fraction of a second. Time-Skip can be used alongside his supers and command dash, making him a rather formidable opponent.
