By Sherif Saed, Tuesday, 6 March 2018 13:07 GMT According to a new report, Blizzard is indeed making a Diablo 3 port for the Nintendo Switch. Last week, a subtle tease on Blizzard’s Twitter account got everyone thinking the studio is making a Nintendo Switch port of Diablo 3. It blew up on social media, which got Blizzard to later say the tweet was teasing anything, it was just the developer having a bit of fun. However, a new Eurogamer report says that Blizzard is in fact developing a Switch port of Diablo 3. Though the site is not sure whether it’s also going to include the Reaper of Souls and Rise of the Necromancer expansions, it did point out that the team working on these ports was surprised to see the Twitter tease. After being in development for over 10 years, Diablo 3 has had quite the rollercoaster journey. While things started off poorly due to major server issues, stingy loot, and an auction house which undermined many core gameplay moments, Blizzard was able to turn the experience around with continuous updates and a well received expansion pack called Reaper of Souls. When it comes to Diablo, one should expect a sense of finality when an upgraded version features the word "Ultimate". After all, where do you go after defeating The Devil? Developer Blizzard's answer--in the Reaper of Souls expansion--was a villain that was the closest thing to Death. Unless the studio can come up with an expansion to vanquish a tax collector, it's safe to say that Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition is as final as it gets. Thanks to two years worth of PC version fixes, wise console-friendly UI adjustments, and a number of exclusive social features, this also happens to be the definitive version of Diablo III. Diablo III's bleakness is so comprehensive, one can't help but admire Blizzard's dedication.
