Home • PC Game News • Shenmue III • 93 Alice O'Connor News Editor 3rd July 2019 / 6:55PM Epic Games are continuing to slap on a thick coat of cash to smooth over problems with their substandard store, now announcing money is their solution to discontent over crowdfunded games such as Shenmue III becoming Epic exclusives. For games whose crowdfunding campaigns offered keys for the game on a specific store before the game became a timed Epic exclusive, Epic now say, they’ll either arrange keys for the promised store or pay for refunds. I do think people are making mountains out of molehills, but I’m told that’s what the Internet is for. And goodness me, have Epic bought the Thompson Hillsquisher XR300, the ‘Silver Sentinel’? Complete with the optional racing stripes, saddlebags, and pewter bell? The original PC plan for Shenmue III laid out on Kickstarter was just “a digital copy” or “a physical … [Read more...] about Epic covering refund costs for crowdfunded games going exclusive to their store

Crisis on Infinite Earths Showrunner Explains Why SPOILER Had to Die So Soon
By Russ Burlingame - December 10, 2019 01:22 am EST Share 0 Comments 0 In the opening hour of "Crisis on Infinite Earths," fans more or less knew what they were getting into. The CW's Supergirl opened the crossover, and both Argo City and Earth-38 were in jeopardy. The general understanding was that Earth-38 would likely be lost, along with a number of Earths making cameo appearances, heading into the first, fairly consequence-free battle with the Anti-Monitor's forces before The Monitor really rallied the troops for a bigger offensive with bigger stakes in the second or third episode. That has more or less been the standard not just for CW crossover events but for a lot of superhero movies and storylines over the last decade or so. That wasn't how it all went down. The first hour of "Crisis on Infinite Earths" was brutal in a few ways, destroying Earth-38 and killing one of the biggest heroes in the Arrowverse. Spoilers ahead for "Crisis on Infinite Earths." … [Read more...] about Crisis on Infinite Earths Showrunner Explains Why SPOILER Had to Die So Soon
After 18 years, Shenmue 3 is finally a game you can play right now
Home • PC Game News • Shenmue III • 20 Natalie Clayton Contributor 19th November 2019 / 6:04PM It’s only gone and come out, hasn’t it? Four years after its controversial, record-breaking $6 million Kickstarter campaign, Shenmue 3 is finally a game you can pick up and play. Blimey, it’s only been 18 years since the last one. Shenmue’s had a rough road to release, full of publisher scandals and delay after delay after delay. But it’s finally time to pick up where Shenmue 2 left off in 2001, with teen martial artist Ryo Hazuki traipsing around rural China looking for the folks who killed his dear old dad. In between solving that mystery, you’ll have plenty of time to get stuck into fights with locals, while turning every incidental interaction into a fully fleshed-out minigame. What an utterly strange thing. Shenmue 3 is a game torn between the 90s and today. Its quaint villages and landscapes are painterly, vivid … [Read more...] about After 18 years, Shenmue 3 is finally a game you can play right now
Final Fantasy XV getting four new DLCs in 2019
Home • PC Game News • Final Fantasy • 24 Brock Wilbur Contributor 7th April 2018 / 1:11PM Final Fantasy XV has already seen some story based DLC this year, but at PAX East there was an announcement from Square Enix regarding four add-on story packs coming to the game in 2019. The Dawn of the Future DLC hopes to set itself apart from other story-based add-ons by creating an entire season of alternate plot branches, building towards (what appears to be) a completely different ending. The episodes will portray an “alternate grand finale” for the game, showing “a future everyone longed for,” meaning a possible outcome that could have existed for each of four characters: The first full episode will focus on Ardyn and is tentatively titled The Conflict of the Sage. The episode “portrays the struggles of Ardyn. Witness the resentment he harbored toward Lucis for over 2000 years, and his clashes with the Astrals.” A … [Read more...] about Final Fantasy XV getting four new DLCs in 2019
Hands on with Final Fantasy XV in bonkers 4K
Home • Final Fantasy XV • 11 4K fantasy Katharine Castle Hardware Editor 23rd February 2018 / 9:00PM There’s a moment about half way through Final Fantasy XV where you have to say goodbye to your stag-do-cum-road-trip adventure and actually start saving the world. It’s the same point that sees you swap your ridiculously large car and the sweeping fields of Lucis for a boat, and then a train, that carries you, quite literally, in a non-stop line toward the game’s conclusion, where its open world suddenly becomes much more closed in.Your quest log recommends your party of boyband prince lads are about level 30 by the time you get here. I, on the other hand, was somewhere nearer level 60, because I ended up getting too damn distracted by everything the Kingdom of Lucis had to offer. By the time I was ready to move on, I’d conquered almost every end-game dungeon I could find, acquired a good handful of the Royal Arms weapons and fully … [Read more...] about Hands on with Final Fantasy XV in bonkers 4K
