We learned a lot about Cyberpunk 2077 at E3. CD Projekt Red brought an impressive demo, showing off Cyberpunk's first-person shooting, dialogue, and sprawling, vibrant setting, Night City. The studio also brought some informative little pamphlets for attendees, and we snatched one up. It's short and small, but packed with interesting details about Night City. We've picked out some highlights, and you can view the whole pamphlet down below. Night City is split into six districts: the bustling City Center, an immigrant district called Watson, the ritzy district of Westbrook, the suburbs of Heywood, the gang-controlled district of Pacifica, and finally Santo Domingo, where most of the city's power plants and factories are located. Maelstrom, one of the top gangs in Watson district, is led by a man named Royce. Night City is built tall and emphasizes vertical exploration. You can also get around by car or motorcycle. Witcher you are excited? CD Projekt Red, maker of The Witcher series of games, has unveiled Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 2018.It was the big splash we've been waiting years for; Cyberpunk was announced back in 2012, don't forget - albeit as a way to attract talent to the studio (I know right!).The Cyberpunk 2077 world premiere was the show-closer at the Xbox conference. The was 'hacked' by the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer, which changed from a text-hacking interface into a man on a metro station riding a train into, presumably, Night City. It was a gorgeous site: dirty, punky, sci-fi, Bladerunner, and brutal. But it was a cinematic trailer - exactly how the game plays we still don't know, but with the game on show at E3 this week, we won't have long to find out.No Cyberpunk 2077 release date was given. … [Read more...] about CD Projekt Red unveils Cyberpunk 2077 at E3 2018

With CD Projekt Red having ownership of the digital distribution platform known as GOG, some have speculated that the video game developer could decide to eschew distributing its forthcoming project Cyberpunk 2077 on Steam in a bid to increase revenue and boost traffic for its own service. Fortunately, this doesn’t seem to be the case, as CD Projekt Red’s CEO Adam Kiciński recently announced that the game would not be exclusive to GOG, and will release for Steam as well. This much was confirmed during a presentation given at the Pareto Securities Gaming Seminar, with the talk from Kiciński and CD Projekt Red’s CFO Piotr Nielubowicz beginning at the 3:15:43 mark in the video below. During the address, the developer’s executives discuss the firm’s origins, its growth, and its current assets, such as GOG, The Witcher franchise, Gwent, and, of course, Cyberpunk 2077, stating that CD Projekt Red won’t favor GOG as the sole location for the … [Read more...] about Cyberpunk 2077 Confirmed for Steam, Won’t Be GOG Exclusive
Last week, the official Twitter account for Cyberpunk 2077 tweeted for the first time in four and a half years, fueling speculation that fans will finally get a substantial update on the long-gestating project. While we are still waiting on an official announcement from CD Projekt Red on when we’ll see the game in action, some evidence points to it have a presence at E3 2018. Polish publication GRYOnline has posted an article citing two separate sources that claim Cyberpunk 2077 will be featured at E3 2018 in the form of a trailer during one of the E3 press conferences. These unnamed sources also claim that a playable demo will be shown to journalists behind closed doors, meaning that unless there’s a leak, gameplay footage will likely come some time after E3 in June. If this information is accurate, it would be hardly surprising. After all, Cyberpunk 2077 has been in development for years, and The Witcher 3 launched way back in 2015. Since then, … [Read more...] about Cyberpunk 2077 Trailer and Demo to Premiere at E3 2018?
