Elden Ring fans no longer have an outlet for fake lore, art, and desperation

· March 2, 2021 ·

Elden Ring exists, for real, and now we know for sure because around two minutes of an old trailer leaked in off-screen, low-resolution chunks. I've seen the footage, and it sure looks like a FromSoft game. Dragons, swords, dodge rolls—it's Dark Souls 4, but you can ride a horse, and that's all we ever really wanted. Right? The footage is genuinely terrible. Not the game itself, just the quality. It looks like someone filmed it with the Motorola Razr I used in high school. It's not a leaked trailer as much as a collection of colors playing charades. If you haven't seen it, stop. Just wait for the real deal—this is likely an internal work-in-progress from months ago . But if you're one of the dedicated, self-proclaimed hollows thirsty for any molecule of information about Elden Ring, you've watched it 100 times already, and you're probably feeling one of two ways: Elated or empty. I expected extreme reactions. FromSoftware has some of the most dedicated fans in games. … [Read more...] about Elden Ring fans no longer have an outlet for fake lore, art, and desperation

March is also be the last month to claim the large lineup of classic SNK games for free, so make sure you add those to your library before they're gone. This month, Amazon Prime subscribers can grab Blasphemous , Tengami , SkyDrift , Boomerang Fu , and Bomber Crew: Deluxe edition free of charge. Blasphemous , a metroidvania that released in 2019, is one of the most notable Prime Gaming freebies we've seen in quite a while. Set in a dark and dreary world littered with religious iconography, Blasphemous stars a nameless knight on a pilgrimage. Blasphemous' haunting atmosphere helps to tell its grim but gripping story. Though the combat can get a tad repetitive, the boss fights are well-designed and the loop is challenging enough to keep you on your toes throughout. Blasphemous recently … [Read more...] about Amazon Prime Free Games For March 2021 Are Live Now

Date set for Apple v Epic Games trial

· March 2, 2021 ·

The battle between Epic Games and Apple over in-game microtransactions is still rumbling on, and after months of arguing it seems a date has finally been set for an in-person trial. Yep, it seems this one is going all the way. Yesterday a management conference was held in the US District Court for the Northern District of California, in which judge Yvonne Gonzalez organised a bench trial between Epic Games and Apple (as reported by MacRumors ). A date has now been officially set for 3rd May, which will require witnesses to travel to Northern California to appear at court in person. The reason for the physical trial is that judge Gonzalez feels the case is serious enough that it should be heard in person, and believes witnesses are less likely to lie when being sworn in a courtroom. Those required to travel will apparently be given the resources to quarantine for two weeks after the trial, while other Covid safety measures will also be taken, such as limited numbers of people in … [Read more...] about Date set for Apple v Epic Games trial
