The pranks in question range from the predictable - such as boxing gloves that fly across the screen and tacks that jab the feet on unwary pedestrians - to the outlandish and even terrifying, like impromptu karaoke singing and electric bombs that fry everyone in range. There's also a wacky cast of rival aliens rampaging around the same maps, trying to trip up your plans and prank you in turn, and each of the game's eight maps features unique "panic time" conditions which trigger periodically adding extra perils. In Coco Town, the first map, for example, it becomes rush hour and suddenly all the cars refuse to stop and knock you over, spilling your precious coins. … [Read more...] about Revisiting Under the Skin, Capcom’s forgotten arcade stealth game

What traditional 'Ubisoft open world game' elements seem like a good fit? What don't?Chris: I'm not a huge fan of leveled enemies in some cases—I'm fine when there's heavies and when reaching new leveled zones results in meeting more powerful enemies, but I recall in Assassin's Creed Origins wandering into a high level zone and encountering a hyena that was like 30 levels higher than me and thus indestructible, whereas a hyena in a level-appropriate zone was just a hyena. Build crafting in Destiny 2 has gone from non-existent at launch to now being so complex that some players are afraid to even touch it. Which is a shame, because the two main mod systems—'Charged with Light' and 'Warmind Cells'—enable perks that are super fun and powerful to play with. Unfortunately, the game doesn't do a great job of explaining how either system works, and because the mods were released in previous seasons, they can be annoying to get hold of now. Make sure to check the Gunsmith at the Tower daily to see which mods he's selling and buy any you don't have. … [Read more...] about How to create a powerful Destiny 2 ‘Charged with Light’ build that works anywhere
