CYBER CRIME Facebook groups where members buy and sell the credit card numbers of fraud victims and share other online crime tips have been uncovered by a report. A total of 74 groups have been found so far and they contain around 385,000 members. Security researchers from Cisco's Talos Intelligence Group uncovered the groups which were buying, selling and trading stolen credit card information and identity information like photographic ID. The group members were also providing each other with information about email phishing and other illegal activities. They had names like 'Spam Professional' and 'Facebook hack (Phishing)' and could appear to any user if they searched those terms or words like 'CVV' or 'carding'. One of the groups featured a user who was claiming to be selling a spam kit that delivered fake Apple invoices to Hotmail and Yahoo email … [Read more...] about More than 300,000 cyber criminals are selling your credit card details on Facebook, experts warn

I'm still impressed by the power in the diminutive Raspberry Pi, a flexible hobbyist PC that can be used to run emulators or a home server or other creative projects. But the Raspberry Pi looks practically gargantuan next to the Pico PI225-GK, which I checked out at Zotac's booth at Computex 2018. This is actually the second generation of the mini PC, which is about the dimensions of a half dozen credit cards stacked together. It's a PC that could easily fit inside a money clip.Of course, small computers are practically everywhere these days, in our refrigerators and gaming mice and wherever else we think to put them. But I was impressed by how much of a genuine PC the Pico is. It runs Windows 10, has two USB-C ports for connecting accessories and outputting video. It's clocked at 1.1 GHz with a dual-core Intel N4000 processor, which can turbo up to 2.6 GHz. There's 4GB of RAM in here. 32GB of memory. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and a card reader are built in, and it runs off micro-USB for … [Read more...] about This PC is the size of a damn credit card

It focuses on scooping your saved payment credentials in Google Chrome – the type of info you may have stored using auto-fill when making an online purchase – and harvesting specific files in Firefox. But it doesn't stop there. According to ZDNet, the malware also takes a screenshot of the infected machine's screen and scans for any documents ending in .doc, .docx, .txt, .rtf, .xls, .xlsx, or .pdf. Fortunately, the phishing campaign being … [Read more...] about Google Chrome malware alert – malicious software can steal your saved credit card payment details and stored files
Instagram is adding a shopping payments feature that lets you link your credit or debit card to pay for services directly in the app. The Facebook-owned photo-sharing platform has quietly begun trialling the feature with UK and US users ahead of a wider rollout, confirms TechCrunch. Instagram is stocked full of retailers, ads, and celebs trying to hock items, so it didn't come as a surprise when the app brought its shopping feature to the UK in March. It lets brands add a purchase option to their posts, allowing you to buy everything from trainers to gadgets by tapping a pop-up tag, which directs you to an online shop. But now Instagram is going one better: the new feature means you won't even have to leave the app to snap up the items you like. For now it's limited to payments for booking appointments, like haircuts at your local salon and restaurant reservations. But it will soon be expanded to include movie tickets, and if it's successful, you can expect it to encompass fashion too. … [Read more...] about Instagram shopping adds credit card payments to let you make in-app purchases directly
