If you’re a fan of either Paladins or Smite and you can’t make it down to Atlanta for the Hi-Rez Expo 2018 then you might get a severe case of FOMO this weekend. But fear not, as we can help you lessen that pain, if only a little. Suppose you want to know what skins we’re talking about before you answer that question, eh? Fine, we’ll let you in on it. As you can see in the image at the top of this article, for Paladins we have the Vivian Silvertongue skin and for Smite it’s the Cernunnos Convention skin. Portland Retro Gaming Expo Day 3: Closing
Sunday, Day 3 of the Portland Retro Gaming Expo 2018, was the shortest day, with the entire expo shutting down at 5:00 P.M. Pacific. I arrived a little after 1:00 P.M. and even at that time a few vendors in the exhibitor hall had already begun the process of packing up to leave. Despite some people’s haste, I was able to obtain a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening and Tetris for my Game Boy Color that I had decided upon buying Saturday evening. I then decided to try and find the most expensive pieces of software available at the convention, searching booths for protected cases full of cardboard boxes, certain to hold the more expensive offerings they had. I was successful, finding: Obscure, aptly titled, for $110 (PS2), Brandish for $200 (SNES), Kuon, a FromSoftware survival horror title, for $295 (PS2), Pocky & Rocky for $300 (SNES), Bonk 3: Bonk’s Big Adventure for $325 (TurboDuo), Mega Man X2 for $325 (SNES), Metal Storm … [Read more...] about Portland Retro Gaming Expo Day 3: Closing

As announced at Japan Expo 2018 by Takaya Kuroda, Yakuza Kiwami 2‘s PS4 demo is now live. The demo comes ahead of the August 28th release date of Yakuza Kiwami 2. Set one year later, Yakuza 2 sees Kazuma Kiryu and Haruka Sawamura aim to start a more peaceful life together. Unfortunately, they stumble into an assassination that threatens to start a war between the Tojo Clan and the Omi Alliance. Kazuma travels to Osaka in order to defuse the conflict. There, he runs into Ryuji Goda, who aims to plunge the clans into all-out war. The … [Read more...] about Japan Expo 2018: Yakuza Kiwami 2 Demo Available Now on PlayStation 4

Paladins Expands Lore with New Cinematic Video at Hi-Rez Expo 2018
Hi-Rez Expo 2018 has been a hot-bed for both SMITE and Paladins: Champions of the Realm news, and that continues into the last day of the event. In a brand new video released earlier today, developer Hi-Rez Studios delves further into the background and characters in a way untouched in the series before. In the video (seen below) we hear a lot more about the actual origin story that rests in the backdrop of Paladins: Champions of the Realm. The story tells one of a group of heroes that brought about a golden age after decades of strife, dragons, and village-burning. Known as the “Paladins,” the group would disband after peace took hold of the world. However, that peace changed quickly with the uncovering of crystals that brought a new age of power to be harnassed, utilized, and abused in the wrong hands. Crystal use were banished to create stability among the kingdom… but not everyone was on board.
