Treyarch has announced the Onslaught Mystery Munitions limited-time mode will be returning to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War 's Zombies, and this time, the mode will be available on all platforms. Previously, Onslaught launched as a PlayStation-exclusive Zombies mode for 2020's Black Ops Cold War, and it didn't become available for Xbox and PC players until November 2021. During the one year of exclusivity, PlayStation users received the limited-time Onslaught Mystery Munitions mode as part of the Season 3 Reloaded update. However, Treyarch has tweeted that the rare mode will return on May 20, and it will finally be available for all platforms. Xbox Games With Gold For May 2022: 3 Free Games Are Available Now
We're in the second half of the month, so that means that new free games are available for Xbox Live Gold and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. A trio of freebies are up for grabs as part of May's Games with Gold lineup: Yoku's Island Express, Viva Pinata: Party Animals, and The Inner World: The Last Wind Monk. If you're a fan of metroidvanias and pinball (who isn't?), Yoku's Island Express will be a treat. Released in 2018, Yoku's Island Express beautifully marries pinball mechanics with the side-scrolling adventuring of metroidvanias. You play as a dung beetle who arrives to a relaxing tropical island to become the new courier. Unfortunately for Yoku, things don't go quite as planned and he has to save the day. The cleverly designed world is filled with platforming tests as well pinball boards that Yoku uses to bounce around and make progress. Epic has confirmed that the free games program will continue through at least the end of 2022. Every Thursday at the same time 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET--Epic gives up between one and three free games.
