Since the reveal of Borderlands 3 at PAX East 2019, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has been forthcoming with a number of details about the highly anticipated shooter. These details have included a tease about the Borderlands 3 map size, and Pitchford has now offered further clarification on several other aspects of the game. To start, Pitchford has recently elaborated on the fact that Borderlands 3 will not have Slag, instead opting for a Radiation element that increases the vulnerability of those affected by it, as Slag does in previous entries in the franchise, combined with a damage over time effect. Specifically, Pitchford has clarified that the Corrosive element is still present in Borderlands 3, and it is not being replaced by this new DoT damage type. With respect to the aforementioned transition from Slag to Radiation, some fans have also expressed concerns about losing the easily visible purple associated with Slag. These fans have inferred that Radiation will be … [Read more...] about Borderlands 3: Gearbox CEO Talks Corrosive, Color Blind Mode, and Cosmetics
Borderlands 3 1 billion guns
The Borderlands series has often been referred to as the king of looter-shooters that every other looter-shooter aspires to be. And in that spirit, the Borderlands 3 reveal trailer revealed that the game will feature over a billion guns for players to hunt for. One of the key features of Borderlands is that the loot is shared across all players, meaning that if one gun drops, only one player is going to get it. This can lead to players stealing loot from each other if they are not playing civilly, especially with so many guns in the game. However, Gearbox is making some big changes to how loot works in Borderlands 3. Following the latest trailer, which confirmed the official Borderlands 3 release date, a new post went up on the PlayStation Blog which detailed some more information about the game. One of the biggest details was that the loot system would be getting changed a bit, allowing players to receive their own loot instead of it being shared … [Read more...] about Borderlands 3 Makes Big Change to Loot System
Borderlands 3‘s announcement arrived Thursday morning with a bang, delivered during a PAX East presentation from Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford between magic tricks. The Borderlands 3 announcement trailer itself was a love letter to Borderlands fans who have been waiting for news regarding the sequel for around five years now. Gearbox is finally reading to start sharing off its hard work and for fans of the previous Borderlands games, Borderlands 3 looks exactly like what they’ll want to play. But there’s only so much that can be shared in an announcement event. Randy Pitchford reserved only a short period of the hour-long PAX East event to talk about Borderlands 3, first pointing out secrets found in the game’s earlier released Mask of Mayhem teaser trailer and then showing off Borderlands 3‘s announcement trailer twice before ending the event. A full unveiling of Borderlands 3 is planned for April 3, but in the mean time fans are left poring over what was … [Read more...] about Borderlands 3 Everything We Know: Classes, Villains, Setting, Story
Ice-T the rapper and later turned actor has claimed on Twitter that there are rumors of his appearance in Borderlands 3 as a voice actor. It’s more kind of a confirmation since the rumor was started by none other than the rapper himself. The famous rapper shared this rumor alongside the trailer announcement of Borderlands 3 at PAX EAST 2019. His Tweet was later reshared on Gearbox’s official feed confirming that it’s not just a rumour. This doesn’t come as a surprise because the American rapper is known as a gamer and for Tweeting stuff about games in the past. He’s mostly seen on Twitter talking about Desinty 2. Back in 2009, he grabbed a copy of the original Borderlands and finished it in straight 4 hours. Looks like he’s going to do that once again as Gearbox has also announced the remastered version of Borderlands 1 titled Borderlands: Game of The Year Edition. With that aside, let’s talk about the upcoming Borderlands game in the series … [Read more...] about Ice-T the Rapper Will Voice a Character in Borderlands 3 But Who?
Gearbox’s PAX East 2019 panel was riddled with technical difficulties, but that didn’t curb any enthusiasm for the official announcement of Borderlands 3. The game was revealed in a teaser trailer that offered plenty of details about Borderlands 3 and what it has in store for fans, confirming many of the leaks in the process. As seen in the Borderlands 3 trailer, the Calypso Twins will be the main villains in the new game. They will be the leaders of the Children of the Vault cult, which players will fight against across a variety of different worlds, offering more environmental variety than seen in past Borderlands games. Some of the areas Borderlands 3 players will get to visit include a swamp area, a large city with towering skyscrapers, and the typical desert locales that fans of the franchise should be plenty familiar with by now. As previously stated, the Borderlands 3 trailer shown at PAX East 2019 seemingly confirmed many details that leaked … [Read more...] about Borderlands 3 Finally Announced with PAX East 2019 Teaser Trailer
