Like it or loathe it, HBO’s Westworld isn’t afraid to deal with lofty topics. Currently midway through its second season, already the show has attempted to relay what it means to be human, to be treated by humans if you’re not, and what exactly are the right actions to take when seeking self-aware autonomy. All questions which look to be very prominent in the soon to be released Detroit Become Human. While you’re here, give the latest trailer a look, too. It’s pretty good, as these tend to be, and it shows more of the game’s environments than we’d seen before. You should also grab the … [Read more...] about Warhammer: Vermintide 2 pre-order beta now live alongside new gameplay trailer

With all that excitement, you're probably cyber-pumped to start playing.Cyberpunk 2077's release date is still unclearUnfortunately, CD Projekt Red still hasn't said anything more than "when it's ready" about a Cyberpunk 2077 release date. “The first thing you’ll learn is that nothing is what it seems…” This is the opening line of the first episode of Altered Carbon and it couldn’t be more apt. Its true that given the popularity of sci-fi dystopian series and the trend for body-swapping stories, you might think you know everything you need to about the new Netflix Original from the trailers. I thought I did. That didn’t stop me from desperately wanting to watch it though, and chances are you feel the same if you like shows like Westworld, Black Mirror, and The Expanse. Altered Carbon is very much of its time in the sense that it’s riding the wave of high quality futurism, but don’t be fooled into thinking you’ve seen this all before. The series might feel like it has inspirations from all over the sci-fi movie and TV landscape, but it definitely brings something new to the genre as well. Based on the cyberpunk sci-fi novel of the same name by Richard K. Morgan, … [Read more...] about Netflix’s Altered Carbon is Blade Runner meets Black Mirror with Westworld’s morality thrown in
