ON the first full day that Blackout, Call of Duty's Battle Royale mode, has been available free, the servers have gone down. Users have taken to Twitter to complain about the outage, while reports from downdetector.com indicate serious problems in the UK and Western Europe, with problems also reported across the US, multiple South America countries and Australia. Activision has opened up a week long free trial for anyone who wants to jump in and see what their grown-up take on playground favourite Fortnite is like. It officially started yesterday, January 17, and will run until January 24 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Blackout drops 100 players onto a huge map that is a mash-up of fan's favourite Call of Duty locales from across the ages, with a huge array of weapons and vehicles scattered around the place with which to wreak havoc. As with Fortnite, players drop in with nothing and race to the best gear they can find -- then the last person standing wins. Black Ops 4 Servers Are Now Online, Play Now With an Early Copy
Black Ops 4 is just a few hours away from its official launch but those with early copies of the game can already start playing online as the servers are now online. If you are one of them then you can start playing all of the game modes in the game including Multiplayer, Blackout, Specialists, and Zombies. Also, it’s the best time to avoid internet if you hate spoilers. The game will officially launch worldwide on October 12 at 12 AM-midnight local time and that’s when you can play it with friends. Though keep in mind if you are a streamer that you are not allowed to stream anything till 9 AM Eastern Standard Time on October 11. After Investing Story Mode Resources to MP, This is Black Ops 4 Multiplayer on PC; “Failed to Host Lobby”
As I sit here writing this article at 1AM, I am utterly disappointed and concerned about the future of Call of Duty. Over the past few weeks I have writing so much about the new Call of Duty game, criticizing what COD has become. Still, somewhere in my heart there was hope, doubt, that may be I am wrong and may be those YouTubers who got their hands on Black Ops 4 multiplayer beta are wrong. Unfortunately, they aren’t wrong as far as their claims about this game’s troublesome development goes. As I write, the game is running in the background and I can still hear the amazing soundtrack they used over the UI. Sadly, the music is all I would get to enjoy tonight because after trying … [Read more...] about After Investing Story Mode Resources to MP, This is Black Ops 4 Multiplayer on PC; “Failed to Host Lobby”
Five Concerns Black Ops 4 Blackout Must Address

The franchise is jumping on the battle royale bandwagon this year with Blackout, a move that raises a few important questions for veterans. Just how will Treyarch integrate the hundred-player mayhem into the Call of Duty universe? Here are five concerns that the new mode must address. Tweaking mortality with weapon mechanics The Call of Duty franchise has always relished a signature fast-paced and extremely close-quarters combat system, something that has been sustained by developers over the years with two main elements. Firstly, the multiplayer maps designed have more often been smaller in scale. Secondly, the simplistic weapon mechanics without any real physics have only made it possible for players to point-and-shoot or run-and-gun with ease. In other words, the time to live (TTL) and time to kill (TTK) have always … [Read more...] about Five Concerns Black Ops 4 Blackout Must Address

Some of the feature promised in the blog post were covered in the PC trailer shown at the reveal event. Black Ops 4 on PC will support an uncapped framerate, extra wide monitors, 4K support, HDR, a different UI, and dedicated servers. Treyarch also said that they are testing the game on a wide array of setups to "make sure the largest number of people can play and enjoy Black Ops 4." Treyarch went more into detail about their partnership with Blizzard and putting Black Ops 4 on Battle.net. Joining the service will allow players to talk between other titles from Overwatch to Destiny 2.
