Fall Guys developer Mediatonic has been purchased by Epic Games, according to the Epic Newsroom announcement . The news broke Tuesday, March 2 by Bloomberg's Jason Schreier , then followed up shortly after by the official Fall Guys Twitter account and Epic Games themselves. Both companies promise that Fall Guys gameplay "isn't changing" and "Epic will continue to invest in making the game a great experience for [players across platforms." Epic Games has announced that it has acquired the Tonic Games Group, the parent company of Fall Guys developer Mediatonic. "It’s no secret that Epic is invested in building the metaverse and Tonic Games shares this goal," Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney said in a statement . Humble, that purveyor of assorted gaming grab bags, has just launched its latest Choice bundle and it's headlined by a pair of excellent PC games: supernatural shooter Control and sci-fi strategy spin-off XCOM: Chimera Squad. It's worth pointing out that Remedy's Control is already available through Xbox Game Pass on PC , but picking it up through Humble Choice means you'll own it forever and not be at the mercy of Microsoft pulling it from the service on a whim. There's a new Aliens game on the way. Aliens: Fireteam is a co-op third-person shooter due out summer 2021 on PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One. The gameplay trailer is below (it looks a bit like Gears of War meets Aliens to me): Aliens: Fireteam is set 23 years after the original Alien trilogy. You play a Colonial Marine on the USS Endeavor, which was recently tasked with answering a distress call from the outer colonies. There are four campaigns you can play with two friends or AI teammates. As for enemies, expect to face Xenomorphs and Weyland-Yutani Synthetics. There are five character classes, customisable weapons and mods, character progression and the ability to mutate each mission via a Challenge Card system.
