Did that rocket open up a gap in space and time?ever since a rocket launched and left a massive fracture in the sky above Fortnite’s map. A fracture that keeps getting wider every day. There are plenty of theories, ideas and red herrings floating around ahead of Season 5 starting in less than two weeks. (We don’t think the crack rock theory is likely but it made us chuckle). However, the idea that Season 5 will feature a theme of time travel, or that locations and skins based on history will dominate the battle royale game, are gaining a lot of traction. Let’s take a look at current thinking. There is a massive split across the sky above Fortnite island and it’s growing. What if that gap is some sort of tear in space and time, which we all know from numerous sci-fi shows and movies will likely act as a gateway to different time periods? The fracture in the sky isn’t the only new oddity on the map. Similar glowing fractures seem to be growing in Lonely … [Read more...] about Fortnite Season 5: how credible is the time travel theory?

A Rick-less episode of The Walking Dead is, conventionally, an eventless episode of The Walking Dead, and Dead or Alive Or, the 11th chapter to season 8, was no exception. It had its moments, but this episode felt more like a set up for what’s to come than a climax to what’s already happened, much to the disappointment of many viewers. But hey, seeing as the show’s been on a notable high since its mid-season break, I’m less annoyed about this lack of action than usual, and many of the questions I’m left with after watching episode 11 could have satisfying payoffs if AMC manages to pursue them effectively. Read on below if you don’t mind major spoilers for The Walking Dead season 8 so far, and see if you and I are asking the same things about Gabriel, Negan, and the rest of Atlanta’s survivors now that this week’s episode has aired. Read more: "Can you just end the series already?" – The internet reacts to The Walking … [Read more...] about 5 questions I have after watching The Walking Dead season 8, episode 11
Marvel Studios’s never-ending plan to fill every theatre with a MCU movie from now until the end of time is gathering pace. Seven new (as-yet-untitled) movies are in the works from 2020 until 2022 which has got us thinking: What could they be, and how does that affect, y’know, everything going forward? First up, the nitty-gritty. Deadline has reported the released dates of Marvel’s magnificent seven. They are as follows: · July 31, 2020 · May 7, 2021 · July 30, 2021 · November 5, 2021 · February 18, 2022 · May 6, 2022 · July 29, 2022 Interestingly, 2020 has only one Marvel movie listed. It’s a safe bet that the other two Phase 4 flicks will still hit on May 1 and November 6 respectively as in their previously-announced schedule up until 2020. It’s easier to play fan-fiction with these dates, so … [Read more...] about Guardians 3? Avengers 5? Marvel Studios announce seven untitled MCU movies up to 2022 – so, what could they be?

After Konami's uncomfortable separation with series creator Hideo Kojima, Metal Gear Survive's first impression is one of cheap fanfiction. But after playing the first three hours, I'm both relieved and troubled to say that Survive is only a Metal Gear game in name. You're dumped through a wormhole into a hazy, zombie-infested world, all the Snake bros and long cutscenes and cognizant clone hands locked away in another dimension. It's fitting, really—besides some cylindrical tutorial robots with long-winded, patronizing explanations for everything, Survive's world is a simple one. It's just a damn survival game. The genre brings its usual problems with it, chief among them that any time a game has hunger and thirst meters, I clam up. It also has resource collection and convoluted menu systems for managing them. (Double-clammed.) There are also zombies. (I can't begin to describe how hard I am clamming.) But in the first few hours, the genre cliches marred by countless poor … [Read more...] about Clumsy brawls with dumb zombies make Metal Gear Survive hard to get into
