There is a plethora of comic books coming to Amazon's ComiXology Unlimited digital comics reading service in march - Marvel, DC, Image Comics, IDW Publishing, Boom! Studios, and more… but one big thing stands out. Vertigo. The complete runs of the original Hellblazer (300 issues!), Preacher (66 issues!), and Lucifer series (75 issues!) have been added to ComiXology Unlimited this month. In addition, over 200 issues of various Swamp Thing series have also been added. No specific reason has been given for this Vertigo-centric comics dump, but in some cases, it's best not to complain and just start reading (or re-reading, as the case may be). Some decidedly un-Vertigo fare being added as well this month is a heaping helping of Disney cartoon tales. Several collections have been added of Mickey House, Donald Duck, Donald and Mickey, Uncle Scrooge, and DuckTales. Staying on that anthropomorphic tip, there's also Snoopy: Beagle of Mars and six volumes of Garfield arriving this … [Read more...] about New on ComiXology Unlimited (March 2021): All the comics and manga arriving

AMD shows the Radeon RX 6700 XT outpacing Nvidia’s RTX 3070 in selected games
AMD has officially unveiled the speeds and feeds of its latest GPU, the Radeon RX 6700 XT . It transpires that the rumours were right on this one, and there's only a single GPU on the way, not the usual XT and non-XT variants. AMD also provided a few benchmarks to get our heads around. The first slide to feature benchmarks had comparisons against the GTX 1070 Ti and the RTX 20870 Super, which had us worried about how it would fair against more recent releases, but thankfully it quickly followed this up with comparisons to the GeForce RTX 3060 Ti and the RTX 3070 . That first slide does show how far we've come though, and AMD is at least definitely in the game at this stage. The fact it has a GPU that can beat the RTX 2080 Super at 1440p is nothing to be sniffed at. When it comes to the more up-to-date graphics cards, things look fairly healthy, although we'd recommend the usual pinch of sodium chloride, as AMD may have cherry-picked these games to some extent. Not … [Read more...] about AMD shows the Radeon RX 6700 XT outpacing Nvidia’s RTX 3070 in selected games
Curse of the Man-Thing brings together the Avengers, Spider-Man, and X-Men for 50th birthday celebration
Marvel's bizarre, beastly Man-Thing turns 50 this year (first debuting in 1971's Savage Tales #1 ), and to celebrate writer Steve Orlando is penning a series of three one-shots under the banner Curse of the Man-Thing, which will pull in the Avengers, Spider-Man, and the X-Men as Man-Thing's odd fear powers are weaponized by a mysterious new villain known as Harrower. Along with artists Francesco Mobili, Marco Failla, and Andrea Broccardo on the Avengers, Spider-Man, and X-Men one-shots, respectively, Orlando is planning an epic tale that will sweep across the entire Marvel Universe and show exactly what Man-Thing means to the publisher's legacy. Newsarama caught up with Orlando ahead of the March 31 release of Avengers: Curse of the Man-Thing (followed by Spider-Man: Curse of the Man-Thing on April 28, and X-Men: Curse of the Man-Thing on May 5) to discuss Orlando's Marvel Comics debut, his own history with the publisher and with Man-Thing, and what he has planned for … [Read more...] about Curse of the Man-Thing brings together the Avengers, Spider-Man, and X-Men for 50th birthday celebration
South Park is getting a Vaccination Special and the first look is here, mmkay
South Park is back with a new Vaccination Special – and you can get a dose of the upcoming COVID-19-themed episode now thanks to the first trailer. Premiering on March 10, the "South ParQ" Vaccination Special sees a masked-up Cartman locking horns with Butters' dad. Elsewhere, guidance counselor Mr. Mackey outlines the plot for the hour-long episode: the South Park kids are tasked with bringing all the vaccines they can to South Park Elementary. Do that, and they can "get their teacher back." Could the Trump-style President Garrison be making a more traditional comeback after their explosive appearance in the Pandemic Special? Butters is also present and accounted for in the South Park Vaccination Special. The show, of course, has never been shy about skewering subjects ripped from the headlines, and it's set its sights on another contemporary target. With Butters joining the Little Qties (a parody of the QAnon group), it seems that even 2020 hasn't blunted South Park's topical … [Read more...] about South Park is getting a Vaccination Special and the first look is here, mmkay
The Valheim community continues to make crazy-ass forts
Even the dirtiest, meanest Viking knows the importance of apartment therapy. After a long day of mining iron in the muck of a deep swamp crypt, you need somewhere warm and bright to come home to, a place where you can grab a horn of mead, a bowl of carrot stew, and truly unwind. For me, home is a wooden shack with a single torch the greydwarves want nothing to do with. I am not sure what their deal is. But with talented architects now a month into Valheim , we're seeing homes with true square footage and lovely interiors crop up every day. I'll never be able to afford places like this, but for once it's not because I don't have enough money. I just don't have enough time or talent. What a relief. Unlike Steven in his last Valheim home survey , I don't have a weird obsession with Architectural Digest, but I do think about buildings sometimes. How did they get there? What are they for? Did a prison architect design this? As an apartment dweller doing his best to … [Read more...] about The Valheim community continues to make crazy-ass forts
