Best elder sign expansion
Given how Destiny 2 has hemorrhaged players since its release last September, it seems almost perverse to name its next expansion, which will also be the game's biggest so far, 'Forsaken'. But perhaps it's also a sign of confidence. According to Bungie, this DLC represents the fruits of months of community feedback (read: fury) over the perceived wrongs of vanilla Destiny 2, and specifically its puddle-deep endgame. We broke down the key features coming with Forsaken earlier today, and the changes on the way as part of the game's second year of content look to be substantial. But will they be enough to turn the game's fortune's around on PC? That's the question put to our writers who are either lapsed players, or in at least one case, still hopeless addicts. The latest expansion set for The Elder Scrolls: Legends, The Houses of Morrowind, arrived last week. This is the game's second full-sized expansion, not including standalone adventures or promotional sets, and includes 149 brand new cards to experiment with. One of the biggest deals about this set is the addition of three-attribute cards. This seems logical enough: whereas previously, with two-attribute decks, you could assume you had 25 slots per attribute, they simply upped the deck size proportionally to accommodate an additional one. This brings up some interesting strategic decisions. Traditionally in card games, you want to stick to the bare minimum when it comes to deckbuilding. If the minimum is 60 cards, you should build a 60 card deck. … [Read more...] about The Houses of Morrowind keeps The Elder Scrolls: Legends fresh and exciting
At first mention of Summerset Isle you might think The Elder Scrolls Online development team had finally lost their minds and were going for some weird Wicker Man mashup. Sadly, you’re thinking of Summerisle, while this new fantasy expansion has a lot more high elves and a lot less burning people in giant effigies. If anything, the new setting of Summerset Isles looks like the kind of place the people of Tamriel might vacation if they’d made a killing in the soul gem business, with vineyards (prepare for a bittersweet flashback to The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine), hanging plants and a crystal tower that definitely isn’t in any way phallic.Of course, as any good HBO miniseries will tell you, behind the perfectly manicured scenery lies intrigue, drama, and serial killings. It also packs a checklist of features: a new Psijic skill line, jewelry crafting (amazing news if you just can’t find the right brooch to match your helmet), a new 12 player trial, along with lots … [Read more...] about Murder, wine and life-sucking pearls make Summerset another captivating Elder Scrolls Online expansion
