The sell couldn’t have been any easier for Titanfall 2 and Apex Legends developer Respawn Entertainment. The studio, following months of anticipation, took to the stage at Star Wars Celebration 2019 to finally outline its vision for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. It was intoxicating. It was vague. And, honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about it.What I do know is that Respawn’s founder Vince Zampella arrived with a pitch so convincing that the studio has been able to nail a dream reveal of sorts. This was big on the tell and extremely light on show. That pitch, if you aren’t already aware, sounds a little something like this: “This is a Jedi fantasy, story-driven game,” Zampella said at the event, struggling to be heard over the swell of noise erupting from the bleachers. “We are known for multiplayer shooters, but that’s not just who we are. This is a story game – no multiplayer, no microtransactions; this is about being a … [Read more...] about Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the Star Wars game we’ve all been waiting for, and it could decide the future of EA

EA’s Stock price has taken a major hit in the last 6 months thanks to the negativity surrounding Battlefield 5 since its reveal earlier this year. EA closed at 84$ at the end of business on December 3. EA’s stock value has been in a state of flux since late last year. Battlefront 2’s loot box controversy and later Govt intervention took a bite out of EA’s stock price. It wouldn’t be wrong to say that EA never fully recovered from Battlefront 2’s disastrous launch. Even though the game sold well, it came short on EA’s expectations. As of December 3, EA’s stock value has dropped 44% in the last 6 months. Battlefield 5 publically launched on November 20 and sold less than half the amount of the physical copies compared to 2016’s Battlefield 1. While there are some caveats which makes it difficult to tell exactly how bad the situation is for Battlefield 5, it is pretty bad. Battlefield 5 launched digitally on November 15 for the … [Read more...] about EA’s Stock Price Dropped 44% In The 6 Months Thanks to Battlefield 5 and Star Wars Battlefront 2
EA’s program of randomly giving away games like Mass Effect 2 and Theme Hospital has ended, says the publisher. If you remember, the orange-faced cyber shop had an “On The House” program that would make a particular game free to download for a limited time. Dead Space was thrown out as a freebie, for instance, and so was Peggle, along with a good truckful more. In reality, the program has been dormant since it gave away Peggle in April, but is now officially finished. Users of Origin found this out last week when the link which once brought you to the On The House page redirected to a sales page for EA’s subscription service, Origin Access. But EA have now confirmed there’ll be no more freebies, only demos and betas. “Origin On the House will be retired and games will no longer be offered through the program,” a spokesperson from EA told us. “This change won’t affect any games you downloaded from the service prior to that … [Read more...] about Origin stops giving away games ‘on the house’
More Red Dead Redemption 2 information has arrived after last week’s announcement that the game was being delayed to October, but this news isn’t of the official kind. Instead, it comes by way of TrustedReviews, who claim to have obtained an internal Rockstar development memo revealing more details about Red Dead Redemption 2’s multiplayer, open world, and more. According to the report, written by TrustedReview’s Jordan King, the development notes mention three multiplayer modes for Red Dead Redemption 2; ‘Battle Royale’, ‘Revive and Survive’, and ‘Money Grab’. Battle Royale will be familiar to anyone who’s played PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, or another game in the popular last man standing PvP genre, and does make sense given that Rockstar developed a similar mode for GTA Online last year. As for the other two, ‘Revive and Survive’ will apparently work like Team Deathmatch, but players … [Read more...] about Whoa there! A huge Red Dead Redemption 2 leak suggests the game will have Battle Royale, FPS gunplay, and fully explorable trains
The Burnout franchise is a beloved racing franchise that puts an emphasis on the action elements of racing fast. Unfortunately, the franchise has remained dormant for quite a while as original developer Criterion Games has gone on to support other studios with projects like Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Battlefield Hardline. Even though it appears that a new Burnout game isn’t in the near future, evidence of a remastered version of Burnout Paradise continues to mount. The latest nugget of information comes from the online entertainment retailer known as Base.com. The UK specialist added a pre-order listing for Burnout Paradise HD on the PlayStation 4. The game comes in at 39.99 British pounds, roughly $55 with a release date of March 30, 2018. No other information is included outside of the original box art and a description that depicts an older trailer for The Ultimate Box edition which originally launched back in 2009. While EA has yet to confirm or deny the existence of … [Read more...] about Burnout Paradise HD Remaster in the Works?
