By Russ Burlingame - November 21, 2019 08:31 pm EST Share 0 Comments 0 What kind of movie has a runtime of around 100 minutes and almost 200 Easter eggs, references, and in-jokes? Well, the kind of movie that is a parody of reboots, sequels, and remakes, while being kinda/sorta all three. That's Kevin Smith's recently-released Jay & Silent Bob Reboot, currently on a "Reboot roadshow" tour around America and coming soon to a city near you. The filmmaker, who has been telling stories with the characters of Jay and Silent Bob since 1994's Clerks, used the latest movie -- his first one in the shared universe of Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, and Clerks II in a decade -- to remind fans what it was they loved about those other movies. Like, to really, really remind them. There are a lot of Easter eggs in this movie, and we probably didn't get them all. We certainly didn't count everything we thought was probably an … [Read more...] about All The Easter Eggs (We Could Find) In Jay & Silent Bob Reboot

Why did I look??I'm sure everyone here gets the concept of Easter Eggs, cool little tidbits left in the game for fans to find and geek out over. As silly or bizarre as they often are, they're also beloved. That's why we created a list of the 100 best Easter Eggs of all time to show how great they are. Haha, there's a giant rat in Mirror's Edge! And a Final Fantasy 17 poster in Deus Ex! And a memory of children burning to death in Psychonauts... oh my God!Now, see, that last Easter Egg was a little bit different. It's just as interesting as the others, but less adorable and more mentally scarring. That's a horror Easter Egg, the most gruesome, uncomfortable, and all around messed up type of Easter Eggs that will suck the joy out of your life and replace it with deep and abiding dread. And I have some of my favorites right here, along with a description of where to find them. Oooh, what fun!Headcrab zombies beg for help (Half-Life 2)The Egg: If you're like me, the first time you saw a … [Read more...] about The scariest video game Easter Eggs and where to find them
While Mass Effect: Andromeda is a fresh chapter for the franchise, there are plenty of nods and references to the original trilogy for those willing to look hard enough. After all, the games do exist within the same universe (not the same galaxy, though), and it’s inevitable that the main characters of the first trilogy will have touched the lives of the main characters of the Andromeda Initiative. With that in mind, I’ve scoured the game for every reference and hidden Easter egg I can find, and there is some great stuff in here. If you’re looking for more general advice, swing over to our Mass Effect: Andromeda tips and tricks for assistance. There are definite spoilers ahead.Normandy model ship (Alec Ryder’s quarters)This is probably the first thing you’ll find, as you’re funnelled towards Alec’s quarters when you first ‘meet’ SAM. The model of the Normandy itself - which is Commander Shepard’s ship in the original trilogy - … [Read more...] about Mass Effect: Andromeda Easter eggs, secrets, and references to the original games
The Project Resistance closed beta is live, giving Resident Evil fans their first chance at online multiplayer survival since the Outbreak days - and an unexpected throwback to Resident Evil 3. You don't have to look (or listen) hard to find the Easter egg either. Multiple players have shared videos of themselves in a match when a familiar theme starts playing in the background.Resident Evil 3 Save Room Theme !! #PS4sharehttps://t.co/adH9QuNS6K pic.twitter.com/awQaIT4fkXOctober 4, 2019Did you hear it? We're a couple episodes in to the Disney+ original series The Mandalorian, and each episode has plenty of Easter eggs. And it was revealed in Episode 1 that Mando has a little new friend, Baby Yoda, but where does this little cutie come from? Well, we have a pretty solid idea.As a whole, Star Wars is all about lineage. The people who birthed you and those who raised you shaped who you are now, and that can be said about real life as well. So the revelation that the Mando (whose name is Din Jarron) finds a 50-year-old alien baby--which is the same species as Yoda--raises a lot of questions. We all assumed Yoda was the last of his species, so where did this baby come from and who are its parents? The most well-known of this alien species is Yoda, who passed on in Return of the Jedi at the ripe young age of 900. However, another one of this unnamed species was introduced in the Star Wars universe years ago, in Episode 1: The Phantom Menace.Back in 1999, Star Wars fans were introduced to … [Read more...] about The Mandalorian: How Does Yoda Fit Into The Star Wars Disney Plus Series?
