GuthrumGuthrum and his Great Summer Army were a group of Danes that represented the second major wave of Norse invasion and settlement into Britain in 871, just before the main events of the game take place. He's most famous, at least in the English-speaking world, for trying to invade Wessex and failing hard, thanks to good ol' Alfred the Great. We'll get to him in a second. He sort of gets a bad rap for being the guy who threw the whole series starting with a six-to-one lead against the Anglo-Saxons. But he was actually baptized in 878 and continued to rule a large kingdom peacefully, as an equal to Wessex, for quite a long time after his famous defeat. From our forumSarafan: I had a Steam voucher, so grabbed a game basically for free. It was Dark Souls 3 with all DLCs. The only DS game I haven't played for some reason. I also bought Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones on GOG - an interesting RPG with a unique atmosphere. Both games are waiting for their turn. Probably I won't start neither of them before Cyberpunk 2077 is released. For trips to the bathroom at night, it's much nicer than turning on the light. My Cyberpotty's glow isn't blinding, so it won't mess up my night vision when I'm done and have to walk back to bed through the darkened house. CD Projekt Red will follow up their 2015 smash hit The Witcher 3 with one of the most highly anticipated PC games ever made.
