The classic horror manga series Hellsing is being made into a live-action movie by Amazon Studios, reports Deadline . Amazon is collaborating with John Wick and screenwriter Derek Kolstad for the Hellsing movie, which at the moment doesn't have a release date. Along with helping to create the John Wick series and writing all three movies, Kolstad is known as a writer on the upcoming Disney Plus series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. "Ever since my brother introduced me to the Hellsing manga and anime some years ago, I've been obsessed with adapting it," Kolstad said. "And when Mike Callaghan and his team managed to secure the rights to then partner us up with Brian Kavanaugh-Jones and Amazon, I mean -damn, dude- this is a dream." Hellsing's original manga run began in 1997 and went all the way to 2008. The first trailer for Amazon's Tom Clancy adaptation Without Remorse has been released. The movie stars Michael B. Jordan as vengeful CIA operative John Clark, and it hits Amazon Video on April 30. The trailer sets up the basic plot, which sees Clark and his family attacked by highly trained assassins. Clark survives but his wife dies, so the angry operative goes rogue in an attempt to find whoever launched the assault. This being a Clancy story, there also lots of shadowy conspiracy thrills alongside the high-octane violence, a mix that diretor Stefano Sollima (Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Gomorrah) has proven to be very skilled at in the past. There is a plethora of comic books coming to Amazon's ComiXology Unlimited digital comics reading service in march - Marvel, DC, Image Comics, IDW Publishing, Boom! Studios, and more… but one big thing stands out. Vertigo. The complete runs of the original Hellblazer (300 issues!), Preacher (66 issues!), and Lucifer series (75 issues!) have been added to ComiXology Unlimited this month. In addition, over 200 issues of various Swamp Thing series have also been added. No specific reason has been given for this Vertigo-centric comics dump, but in some cases, it's best not to complain and just start reading (or re-reading, as the case may be). Some decidedly un-Vertigo fare being added as well this month is a heaping helping of Disney cartoon tales.
