By ComicBook Staff - September 5, 2017 09:24 pm EDT Share 0 Comments 0 SPOILERS For Tonight's Episode of Star Wars Rebels: Trials of the Darksaber! The world of Star Wars keeps getting bigger. When Disney purchased Lucasfilm four years ago, it wasn't long before they officially announced the formation of the Star Wars Story Group, and the fact that the old Expanded Universe - decades of stories told in novels, comics, and games, was officially now called "Legends." That meant those stories, never 100% officially a part of canon anyway, would not be followed as a definitive continuity going forward. They also announced, however, that the Story Group would be working to make sure that all new materials, on TV, in print, or on the big screen, followed a new, complete, multimedia canon. NEXT: 5 Ways Star Wars Rebels: Trials of the Darksaber Massively Affects Star Wars Canon However, as Ahsoka Tano said on Star Wars Rebels in season 2, "There's always truth in … [Read more...] about Did Star Wars Rebels Just Make Part of Knights of the Old Republic Canon?
It appears that Rockstar Games could be moving in earnest toward the next Grand Theft Auto reveal: Earlier this month, hip hop group City Morgue shared an image on Instagram suggesting that it was involved in a partnership with the studio that would be revealed next summer.City Morgue, a hip hop group, teased this on Instagram today pic.twitter.com/SgmuT6jAK7November 10, 2019There's no direct reference to the series, but music is a major part of the GTA series and while I'm not familiar with City Morgue's work, I think it's safe to say that it'd be a good fit for a radio station or two. By Kofi Outlaw - February 6, 2018 06:24 pm EST Share 0 Comments 0 Whenever a new Star Wars project is announced, there's a certain contingent of the fanbase that always makes the immediate jump to the same question: Are we finally going to get an adaptation of the Knights of the Old Republic games? The answer to that question has always been a resounding "No, Knights of the Old Republic isn't happening!" However, this time around, there's actual logic behind the speculation: It's just been announced that we're getting a new Star Wars film series from David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the creators of Game of Thrones. Knights of the Old Republic is a part of the Star Wars saga that began as a Dark Horse comic book series in the '90s, before becoming a widely-popular series of video games in the early 2000s, running through 2011. The KOTOR story is set nearly 4,000 years before the events of Star Wars: A New Hope, when a Sith army is on a campaign of destruction … [Read more...] about Are the ‘Game of Thrones’ Creators Making ‘Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic’ Movies?
The strongest reminder that GTA 4 is now an old game is that Niko Bellic’s phone has buttons on it. Somehow that one detail – and the fact his mobile can’t access the internet – makes this game feel like it came out 10,000 years ago. It’s actually been an entire decade since the release of the first HD GTA, though, and you can sense that in the slightly blurry visage of Rockstar’s hyper detailed version of New York. Like early HD games Gears Of War and Oblivion, it showed a true generational leap was happening. GTA 4 essentially ended the era of clones that followed GTA 3, simply because no one else could make an open world that looked and sounded as good as Liberty City.Read more: Red Dead Redemption 2 review: “When the credits roll, you’ll have created enough incredible memories to fill ten lesser games” GTA 4 is the story of Niko Bellic, a Serbian war veteran who comes to the city to start a new life.
