There are a lot of tricks to manage and maintain your team in the top spots of any game, Natus Vincere, one of the biggest and most stable teams in Dota is no exception. If you follow the Dota 2 competitive scene, you know that Na’Vi have been very unstable in the last months, losing games even against unknown teams such an amateur team called Power Rangers. To replace these big players, come some really well known players in the form of ex-Team Empire’s Gleb ‘Funn1k’ Lipatnikov and ex-Mousesports Kuro ‘KuroKy’ Takhasomi.Na’Vi’s CEO Alexander ‘ZeroGravity’ Kohanovsky explains the whole situation in the video below:In … [Read more...] about Dota 2 – The New Na’Vi, Metagame Changes and Future as an eSports Team!

IO Interactive has released some statistics for the Kane & Lynch 2 demo on Xbox 360.The demo’s so exclusive, it requires a special token. Still, despite only token bearers getting in on it, the numbers are very interesting indeed. To date, more than 27 billion dollars haven been stolen through heists, which rounds out to 161 million dollars laundered every hour. In real world dollars, that’s equivalent to “JP Morgan’s 2009 annual staff compensation”.More than 116,000 players were killed in the act of pulling-off a heist, with only 8,000 of those kills made by undercover cops, meaning “you’re all a bloody bunch of untrustworthy crooks”.The demo arrives on PSN July 19 for PlayStation Plus members, and runs through July 27 from what we understand, so who knows what sorts of numbers PS3 folks will accrue. We’ve yet to hear back about when the demo will be made available to those who don’t have tokens, or plus accounts, but it is … [Read more...] about K&L2: Dog Days demo stats show loads of killing, theft
26 years is a long time to wait for a video game sequel, especially when those intervening years have spawned a similar, but more critically and commercially successful, series of games. But here we are, at the latest juncture on a twisted path: Wasteland begat Fallout; Interplay gave way to Bethesda; and last year, the circle of post-apocalyptic life was closed with Wasteland 2, developed by inXile Entertainment, the studio founded by ex-Interplay boss Brian Fargo, who created the original Wasteland all those years ago. War never changes, as the saying goes, but the irradiated hellscapes left in their wake? That, as we’ve seen, is a different story.Fargo’s Wasteland 2 is more akin to the first two Fallout games than to its namesake, but Fallout under the auspices of Bethesda isn't what it once was either. The first two Fallouts were isometric RPGs with turn-based combat. Fallout 3, New Vegas, and soon Fallout 4 are powerfully immersive first-person experiences that are as … [Read more...] about Two paths through the wasteland: Brian Fargo on Wasteland 2 and Fallout 4
Eurogamer's alpha and beta reviews are reviews of games that are still in development but are already being offered for sale or funded by micro-transactions. They offer a preliminary verdict but have no score attached. For more information, read our editor's blog. Wasteland is not Fallout. It's worth remembering that, because inXile certainly has. It's a series with something of a convoluted family tree though, and that other post-apocalyptic role-playing game's branches haven't exactly been pruned. Mechanically at least, Wasteland 2 is every bit as much a spiritual successor to the original Fallout games as they were to the original Wasteland, with exploration and turn-based combat that have next to nothing in common with how the original game handled things. In both soul and setting though, it's unmistakably the sequel it claims to be; a trek through a rather more tongue-in-cheek apocalypse where, for starters, rabbits have as much chance as scorpions of being rapidly promoted … [Read more...] about Wasteland 2 beta review
Let’s get something out the way real quick, people. The first Kane & Lynch felt like we were forced to watch two adults with down-syndrome knife fight – it just didn’t seem right. It was an abortion from the womb of atrocity, and it left many bad tastes in our mouths. But that was the past, and that monstrosity is nothing but a dying memory as we continue to push forward with our gaming.Things seem to have changed with what we’ve been seeing as of late, though, with Eidos’s sequel, Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days – where you take two of gaming’s most notorious criminals and lay waste to the baddies in Shanghai, China. The game looks nuts. What else can you expect from a game where two of its protagonists are, well, insane.Because this game looks insanely good (pun intended), we’ve decided to include some screenshots for you, along with information regarding the exclusive Xbox 360 demo facts, which I found to be pretty interesting. If … [Read more...] about Kane & Lynch 2 Screens and Demo Information: Because We Love You
In mid-July, just one month ago, the crowdfunding campaign for Star Citizen hit $48 million, continuing to set records, and the developers at Cloud Imperium Games Corporation revealed stretch goals for the next two million dollar tiers. Both of those have been hit (plus another million since we’re now past $51 million) thanks to a big presence creator Chris Roberts (Wing Commander) brought to Gamescom 2014 last week, the annual trade show in Cologne, Germany. It happened so fast that the website doesn’t even show the current crowdfunding goals for the last two million dollar tiers hit and Roberts has yet to publish another ‘Letter from the Chairman’ entry (he’s two behind!) which updates the community on what the extra funds mean and what they plan to do next. The big highlight out of all the recent Star Citizen news and media releases surrounds the Constellation, one of the multi-person starships that’s currently on sale (with a limited … [Read more...] about ‘Star Citizen’ Makes Millions While Teasing FPS, Racing & Multi-crew Gameplay [Updated]
The Humble THQ Bundle has already surpassed $2 million in sales, and according to a representative of the charity bundle site, contributors needn’t be worried the service is shying away from indie titles.Speaking with RPS, a representative for Humble Bundle said the firm is pleased with the community’s reaction to the bundle. “When THQ expressed interest in our pay what you want plus charity model and willingness to let us bundle so many top tier titles, we couldn’t believe it at first,” the rep said. “But trying to turn up our noses at this epic chance to make gamers happy and help worthy causes like Child’s Play and the American Red Cross could only have been defined as arrogance. We had to try and we were extremely curious to see what would happen.”“So far, it’s been pretty well received: we’re on record pace both in total sales and number of purchases. It looks like we’ve passed the two million dollar mark in … [Read more...] about Humble THQ Bundle surpasses $2 million in just 16 hours
Despite ridiculous clothes, stupid nicknames and endless, exasperating quips, the hacker vigilantes you control in Watch Dogs 2 are eminently likeable because of who they target. Remember pharmaceutical executive Martin Shkreli, who bought the rights to an HIV drug then raised its price by more than 5,000 per cent? Inside the first hour of Watch Dogs 2, you scam his thinly veiled, peevish in-game surrogate out of a couple of million dollars and throw a video of it online. Later you take down the Church of Scientology. The main antagonist is chief technical officer of a Silicon Valley super-corporation. Looking to delve deeper into the year's zeitgeist? Try 2016's best PC games. Where Aiden Pearce of the original Watch Dogs went after street-level crime, Watch Dogs 2's Marcus Holloway punches up at America's financial and political establishment. Using a computer and a stun gun, he dismantles a venal system from within - compared to Pearce, who was white, middle-aged and … [Read more...] about Watch Dogs 2 offers a way to fight back against 2016’s post-truth society – but is that a good thing?
