Without a doubt, The Witcher fans are in eager anticipation for Netflix’s television adaptation of the developer CD Projekt Red’s action-RPG series. However, with showrunner Lauren S. Hissrich having recently revealed that the project likely won’t make it to the streaming service until somewhere around 2020, it looks as if viewers will be waiting quite a while until the TV series airs. So, while the producers are still busy nailing all of the program’s parts into place, the Superman actor Henry Cavill has now decided to throw his hat into the ring to play the character Geralt of Rivia. The Witcher 3’s Ciri Narrates Cyberpunk 2077 Trailer in Fun Crossover
Without a doubt, CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 had one of the more impressive presentations with its in-engine cinematic trailer at E3 2018. Notably, the game is constantly discussed in conjunction with the developer’s Witcher 3, wherein it has been revealed that the futuristic role-playing title approaches romance in a more diverse way than The Witcher 3. However, one fan by the name of Tolkfan decided that there needed to be more of a crossover between the two titles and use Geralt’s adopted daughter Ciri to narrate the Cyberpunk 2077 reveal trailer. As seen below, a voiceover of Ciri has been applied to the trailer, with the narration coming from a discussion between Ciri and Geralt in The Witcher 3. Since the release of its third entry back in 2015, CD Projekt Red’s The Witcher series has proven to be a a runaway success and fans have been clamoring for more of Geralt’s adventures since. While players can forget about another game in the series for the time being, the upcoming Netflix adaptation is sure to give fans plenty to be excited for. Now it seems some information is beginning to come regarding the series. In a series of tweets following a Netflix event in Rome, writer and showrunner on the upcoming Witcher series, Lauren Hissrich, had some new and interesting information for fans to mull over. Fans of the acclaimed Witcher franchise have been whipped into a frenzy over the past couple of weeks as CD Projekt RED has continued to fuel the fires of speculation regarding what was next for Geralt of Rivia. While signs continued to point to the character guest starring in another game, many fans were holding out hope for a new game or even another DLC announcement for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. After all the teases, fans finally got the answer they were looking for as Geralt is joining the Soulcalibur 6 roster. In a joint announcement from CD Projekt RED and Bandai Namco, Geralt of Rivia was revealed to be joining the expansive cast of characters within Soulcalibur 6.
