Red Dead Redemption 2 is one of the most anticipated games of the year, but fans of the Wild West franchise still don’t know exactly when the title will be released. In the absense of an official release date announcement from Rockstar Games, fans have had to rely on retailer clues and leaks to figure when it will be available. The latest tip about the Red Dead Redemption 2 release date comes from Amazon Mexico. The online retailer currently states that the game will go on sale on July 12, 2018, meaning that the game is still almost six months away from being released. The listing was first spotted by fans in the early hours of this morning and as of the time of writing, the release date information has yet to be changed or removed. While retailers do generally have release date information well in advance of the gaming public, the Amazon Mexico information may not be legitimate. There are several reasons to question the information, including the fact that July 12 is a … [Read more...] about Red Dead Redemption 2 Release Date Leaked via Mexican Retailer?
Following the rumors that Nintendo is going to host a Nintendo Direct event on January 11, there have been additional rumors about what may be announced. Fans continue to speculate about major Nintendo Switch releases, including ports of some of the biggest games around. One rumor currently doing the rounds is that a Red Dead Redemption remaster is in development for the Nintendo Switch. This rumor originates from an infamous Reddit leaker named DasVergeben, who recently posted two giant masterposts full of leaked information. In the latest of these masterposts, the leaker reveals that Rockstar Games has something else planned for the Nintendo Switch outside of the (rumored) Grand Theft Auto 5 port. This other project “sounds like it may be a Red Dead Redemption remaster,” says DasVergeben. The validity of this rumor is highly questionable. DasVergeben claims to have “multiple sources” from multiple companies, including Capcom, Bandai Namco, and … [Read more...] about Rumor Patrol: Red Dead Redemption Remaster Coming to Switch
The irony of losing a fancy car you've spent thousands of dollars customizing is thick in GTA 5, wherein the chances are good you deprived some other rich jerk of that car in the first place. That doesn't make a bug which vanishes stored vehicles from garages after completing missions any less of a bummer, though. Rockstar has created a support page about the bug which offers a bit of insight into the problem: "This issue may occur if you drive another character’s personal vehicle. We are looking into a fix to prevent this from occurring in the future," the page states. "In the meantime, please try to avoid parking a car in a garage, driving one already in a garage, or getting in a default vehicle, when playing as a character other than the one with your upgrades." Rockstar does not have any means of recovering cars that have disappeared into Blue Hell, so take care with any vehicles you've become attached to. … [Read more...] about Bug vanishes upgraded cars from garages in GTA 5
Reddit user DasVergeben has made a reputation for himself as a frequent leaker of video game industry news. While DasVergeben has been incorrect with his leaks far more than he has been right, the fact that he accurately predicted the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles DLC for Injustice 2 does lend him some more credibility than other supposed leakers. DasVergeben’s latest claims have to deal with the Nintendo Direct that’s rumored for January 11, which will apparently see the announcement of Grand Theft Auto 5 for the Nintendo Switch. DasVergeben has a number of claims about the January Nintendo Direct (which has yet to be announced itself), but one of the most believable is that Grand Theft Auto 5 is coming to Nintendo’s latest console. After all, Rockstar Games has already shown support for the Switch with the release of L.A. Noire, and the Switch should have the power to run GTA 5 without too much difficulty. Besides the announcement of … [Read more...] about Rumor: Grand Theft Auto 5 and Many Other Games Leaked for the Switch
Earlier this week data miners teased Grand Theft Auto Online players with the promise of loot themed after Red Dead Redemption 2. At the time, developer Rockstar Games would not say anything but most assumed they would need to complete some tasks in order to unlock the gold Red Dead Redemption. Now we know a little more. It appears that Grand Theft Auto Online players are being sent on a little bit of an Easter Egg hunt, which began today. In order to claim the Red Dead Redemption 2 double action revolver in GTA Online, there are a few things players will need to do. Step 1: Receive an E-mail The first step is pretty straightforward: play for a few minutes until an e-mail comes in. There's still no official release date for Rockstar's upcoming GTA V, but its sordid universe of gangs, violence and classic crime movies has already started leaking into our own. First on the viral marketing scene; praise Kifflom, for The Epsilon Program is back and... very similar to before from the looks of things, though careful use of robots.txt means the Internet Archive isn't allowed to confirm that. It has however now found Twitter as well as enlightenment, so that's probably a good thing to watch for any fresh GTA V related sites and shout-outs as Rockstar gets things rolling for 2012.Don't expect too many hints about what to expect from GTA V from browsing its pages, unless it turns out to be a more fantastical take on the world where trees can talk and the final boss is Kraff, Emperor of the 4th Paradigm, but you might get a few laughs from its polite jabs at Absolutely No Real World Organisation And Or Religion At All if you didn't catch it last time. Here's a reminder … [Read more...] about GTA V revs up viral marketing engines
Rockstar Games, the subsidiary of Take-Two Interactive responsible for games like Grand Theft Auto V, Red Dead Redemption, and L.A. Noire, will release a game for "next-gen" consoles during the company's current fiscal year. That means this game, presumably for Xbox One and/or PlayStation 4, will be released sometime before March 31, 2015.Unfortunately, no other details about what this project could be were made available today. Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said during a post-earnings financial call that he is "very excited about what [Rockstar Games] have in store for next-gen systems."Could one of these projects be announced at E3 2014 next month? Historically, Rockstar Games does not attend the annual trade show, but Take-Two management didn't specifically say no when asked by an analyst today."At this point, Rockstar has not announced that they're going to be attending E3," Take-Two president Karl Slatoff said.According to Take-Two, the Rockstar Games label will make up 45 percent … [Read more...] about Rockstar Games to release a PS4/Xbox One game by March 2015
