Pokemon GO saw one of its biggest Gen 4 updates recently, adding not only new Pokemon and evolutions, but brand new Lure Modules as well. Pokemon GO players can use these Lure Modules to get some of the game’s most anticipated Pokemon, including the Eeveelutions Glaceon and Leafeon. However, there is another way to get Glaceon and Leafeon in Pokemon GO. Past Eeveelutions in Pokemon GO have let players use a “name trick” to be guaranteed a certain Eeveelution, with the names coming from the Pokemon anime. For example, if players want their Eevee to evolve to Flareon, they can nickname it “Pyro.” Alternatively, if they want their Eevee to evolve to Vaporeon, they can nickname it “Rainer,” and so on and so forth. Despite players being able to guarantee themselves a Glaceon or Leafeon using Lure Modules, they can also use the name trick to get them as well. Much to the surprise of the gaming world, including many internal PlayStation developers, Sony and Microsoft announced a dual partnership last week regarding streaming and cloud gaming. The two chief rivals put aside their differences for a little while to collaborate on joint development of future cloud solutions in Microsoft Azure. As many fans already know, this wouldn’t be the first time that Nintendo and … [Read more...] about Rumor: Nintendo Also Teaming With Microsoft on Game Streaming

Many fans of Final Fantasy rejoiced when news came that Final Fantasy 7 – among other series classics – would be making its way to the handheld hybrid Nintendo Switch and the Xbox One earlier this year. Unfortunately, a familiar glitch that has been an issue in multiple versions appeared yet again on these two ports. Now, that glitch has finally been fixed with a new patch. Final Fantasy 7 players were disappointed to discover upon the port’s release for the Switch and Xbox One that the infamous overworld audio glitch was still present. This particular bug has popped up in multiple ports of the game over the years. Under normal circumstances, players who enter a fight from the overworld map eventually return to the map, and the overworld music continues where it left off. Unfortunately, in these two most recent ports – and some older ones – the audio would simply restart from the top every time a player came back to the overworld. Square Enix has now … [Read more...] about Final Fantasy 7 Music Bug Finally Fixed on Switch, Xbox One
