This Xbox Series S Is Made Entirely Of Sugar
Xbox has created an edible Xbox Series S, well, sort of. Xbox ANZ, the branch of Xbox representing Australia and New Zealand that previously made the greaseproof Xbox controller and the Xbox Onesie , has now partnered with Australian sweets company Sticky to create a hand-sculpted Xbox Series S out of rock candy. The company also made an Xbox controller out of sugar. "We set out to make something unique, while also replicating every aspect of the controller and console as accurately as possible," Sticky founder David King said. "We still wanted to maintain that it was candy though, so we opted against moulds or using a sugar substitute to ensure it tastes as good as it looks." View this post on Instagram A post shared by Sticky Australia (@stickylollies) The apple-flavored edible Xbox was created over a period of four hours, and you can watch the sweeeeeeet process in the video below. Yes, it's just one giant piece of sugar. Xbox ANZ is giving away the … [Read more...] about This Xbox Series S Is Made Entirely Of Sugar

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight launches this year, Blizzard says
Pre-orders for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight went live today with a promise that the expansion will launch sometime this year. Blizzard's store page (opens in new tab) for Dragonflight says that "World of Warcraft: Dragonflight will be available on or before December 31, 2022." The developer had not previously announced any specific release window for the upcoming expansion. Many players had not expected Dragonflight to launch until 2023, and are now divided on whether or not this is good news. "I am now worried about short beta cycles and how much there will be to do," Reddit (opens in new tab) user Prubably writes. In response, fellow Redditor DenseDistrict3 says "I am worried about yet another rushed expansion." The skepticism comes in the wake of the last expansion, Shadowlands, which received a fairly negative … [Read more...] about World of Warcraft: Dragonflight launches this year, Blizzard says

Battlefield developer DICE's new GM has reacted to Battlefield 2042 's poor launch, explaining what went wrong and how the studio--and EA overall--continues to believe in the series going forward. Speaking to Eurogamer , Rebecka Coutaz said one of the first issues that Battlefield 2042 had was the organization of the development team and the work-from-home setup brought on by the pandemic. "It is different to work from home, even though that is the way we're working now, it took time to adapt," Coutaz said. "And it took time to know how to work well together." "Everybody was disappointed--our community, our players and our team as well. It's a team that has invested years of their lives into this game," she added of the game's rocky start.
