We’re nearly a month away from Resident Evil 2‘s launch, and Capcom has ramped up marketing for the game considerably with plenty of screenshots, gameplay previews, trailers, and more. The company has also revealed some more information about Resident Evil 2, including whether or not the upcoming game will feature any new monsters not seen in the original 1998 release. As recently revealed by Capcom, the Resident Evil 2 remake will not have any new monsters in the game. Players will instead take on the usual batch of zombies, Lickers, Mr. X, and other enemies that they encountered in the original release, albeit with new paint jobs. Just in time for the holidays, Capcom unveils Kage as the latest fighter to join the battle in Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. While this new world warrior might look like Evil Ryu at first glance, he’s actually a completely different incarnation of evil. Over the course of Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition‘s story, Ryu learned to calm his emotions, spelling an end to his evil counterpart. That energy that used to overtake the series star has instead taken physical form as Kage, and he’s out for revenge. Kage’s main focus in Street Fighter lore is taking out the warriors that Ryu clashed with most often. Capcom’s Mega Man Legacy Collection sales have reached a million for the first time ever in the history of the franchise, a big milestone especially for such a long-running franchise that’s had so many video games come out for it. The Legacy Collection debuted on the Switch earlier this year. Mega Man, being a series that has run for 15 years, with 11 mainline games, a number of different continuities, and even a large number of guest appearances in a number of other games ranging from Marvel vs Capcom to Super Smash Bros. The Mega Man Legacy Collection sales being so high is likely a result of this exposure, especially since Mega Man 11 came out in October and Mega Man is back in Super Smash Bros Ultimate. Over the past few weeks, Capcom has consistently teased the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 2 with trailers and five new gameplay footages. Now that the game is only a few weeks away from release, most fans of the series are excited to get a hold of what could easily be Capcom’s most highly-anticipated remake to date.
