The team-based multiplayer online first-person shooter Overwatch has been having a lot of teasers for its fans these past days. A few days back the PlayOverwatch Twitter account dropped a teaser regarding a new character “Operation White Dome” and while there have been loads of speculations going around that, Overwatch has once again teased further. This last Saturday a letter was posted in Swedish which has also been translated into English confirming that Reinhardt had saved Torbjörn’s life before he goes on to talk about the unborn daughter. According to “PC Gamer” supporting characters from Overwatch media have shaped up to become a full-fledged character in their own right, for example, Moira which appeared in Doomfist’s comic. Now using that logic the fact that Bridgette has popped up in the extended universe media not once but rather twice points towards the fact that this is an indication that she will join the hero roster at some point … [Read more...] about Overwatch Teases Its Fans With Torbjorn’s Letter, His Daughter the Next Hero?
It’s not every day that you get updates for decade-and-a-half old titles. However in a Blizzard forum post by Pete Stilwell (a senior producer at Blizzard Entertainment) we learned some new details about an update coming to the real-time strategy game, Warcraft III. The biggest changes coming to the update include 24-player lobbies as well as 16:9 widescreen support. For the bigger lobbies, team colors have been revised and expanded. For reference, players initially were only able to have 12 players in a Warfract III lobby. Widescreen support is pretty self-explanatory considering the game originally released in 2002. Bookends have been added to the in-game interface as well as black pillars in menus to prevent a stretched look. Furthermore, Blizzard has made a whole bunch of balance changes to various heroes and maps in the game. The changes are minor, the goal of the development team is to make small changes to balance. Blizzard evidently has larger ideas … [Read more...] about Sixteen Years After Launch, Warcraft III is Getting a Hefty Update
Judging by how Blizzard typically teases upcoming Overwatch heroes, this could be the first mention of the game’s 27th hero. The most recent Overwatch hero, number 26, is the support hero Moira, which came to the game in November. Now, it appears Blizzard has kicked off the hype campaign for the next one. The mysterious 27th hero may have been teased through the official Overwatch Twitter account, which posted a “declassified” recount of Operation White Dome. Overwatch operatives Captain Ana Amari, Lieutenant Reinhardt Wilhelm, Chief Engineer Torbjörn Lindholm, and Private First Class Emre Sarioglu participated in the operation. As you can see, Emre Sarioglu is the only new name in there. The after-action report talks about a strike team, lead by Ana, deployed to the outskirts of Istanbul, Turkey to deal with – wait for it – omnic resistance. After being ambushed, resulting in “serious injuries” to Torbjörn and lesser injuries to … [Read more...] about Is this the first teaser for Overwatch’s 27th hero?

It has been so long since anyone has heard any news about the high fantasy real-time strategy video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment, WarCraft 3. But something new has come up and although this is a rumor, still it comes with some rationale. It is an observation that whenever they are ready to make some kind of announcement they often fly in community members or pro gamers for different presentations and test sessions. These presentations and sessions normally are regarding an unannounced project. So it would not be wrong to say that right now it seems that Blizzard is prepping up for some kind of WarCraft announcement, Warcraft 4? Happy and Hawk, the retired WarCraft 3 players, have applied for a US visa in Serbia where it is quickest to receive and they have hinted that at the end of this month they will be attending an event (Offline). Other ex-Players have also revealed that they too are applying for Visas. By Sherif Saed, Thursday, 15 February 2018 15:28 GMT Overwatch has a new update on the PTR that comes with a host of changes to Mei, Doomfist, and Sombra all in one go. The update is now live on the Overwatch PTR, and part of the changes, particularly for Sombra, were actualy outlined last week. Starting off with Mei, her weapon’s freeze duration has been increased from one second to 1.5 seconds. This makes it slightly easier for her to quickly freeze up an enemy before they can escape. The weapon’s alternate fire mode is also getting a buff, reducing the ammo cost of from 25 to 20. Doomfist’s hand cannon’s recovery rate has been increased to 0.65 seconds, from 0.8 seconds. The idea is to make Doomfist players use the hand cannon more in combos. Sombra’s changes are by the far the biggest, though, mainly because she no longer has to wait for teammates to pick up her hacked health packs to speed up her ultimate charge. For a little bit more on the … [Read more...] about Overwatch PTR patch brings changes to Mei, Doomfist, Sombra
World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth’s story, or at least a portion of it, has apparently been leaked onto the internet through a number of datamined voice lines. The lines make mention of the city of Teldrassil, the capital city of the Night Elves in Azeroth, being destroyed by the Horde. Battle for Azeroth first appeared at BlizzCon this past year, with the Alliance and Horde once again battling one another in the aftermath of the Burning Legion’s third (and for all we know, final) invasion. The trailer for the expansion showed the Alliance storming the city of Lordaeron, previously destroyed by the Lich King and since occupied by the Forsaken, led by Sylvanas. In the aftermath of the Burning Legion’s defeat, Sylvanas and Anduin have become the leaders of the respective factions after Vol’jin and Varian Wrynn both died at the Burning Shore, just before the expansion dropped. The Burning Legion’s defeat also brought out a new resource, Azerite, which … [Read more...] about World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth’s Story Leaked By Datamined Voice Lines

Overwatch's revamped Capture the Flag mode can be an absolute blast, so long as you don't go up against a team of Lucios. With his insane movement speed, combined with his ability to wall ride, Lucio is too powerful for CTF. Fortunately, Blizzard has recognized the Overwatch Lucio CTF problem, and is looking to patch him "very soon." The upcoming nerf will force Lucio to drop the flag whenever he wall rides. This should force him to take a longer route back to base, giving enemies a better chance at taking him out. Blizzard Game Director Jeff Kaplan has said that "the patch will mostly like hit Tuesday (today) on PC, and Wednesday/Thursday for console." The PS4 and Xbox One delay is due to the additional certification process. Kaplan posted the following on the Battle.net forums: "We're patching Lúcio very soon. He will drop the flag on wall ride. Patch will most likely hit Tuesday (pacific time) on PC and Wednesday/Thurs (pacific) for Console (we have to get the … [Read more...] about Overwatch Lucio CTF Nerf Incoming, Blizzard Hoping to Fix Him ASAP
