Soul Calibur is a game focusing on swords, and its upcoming new DLC character is going to be no exception. Players who are familiar with Platinum Games and Yoko Taro’s work will soon be able to get 2B in Soul Calibur 6, starting December 18 on all of the game’s platforms. 2B, an android from the extreme far future, may have a lot of futuristic technology at her disposal, but her main method of fighting is with her swords, which, along with her popularity, gives her a seat at Soul Calibur’s table. This is the second guest character that’s being allowed into the game, alongside Geralt of Rivia from the Witcher series. Soul Calibur, thankfully, isn’t a game series that takes itself too seriously despite how melodramatic the pre-match narration is, with players fighting everything from mummies to skeletons to demons, so robots aren’t really that out of place for it. Soul Calibur 4 even had three different Star Wars characters in its roster, which … [Read more...] about You’ll Be Seeing 2B In Soul Calibur 6 Starting December 18, Get Ready

Looks like the tale of swords and souls is set for another shocking twist after Bandai Namco confirmed the Soul Calibur 6 2B release date. The android fighter from Nier Automata will be entering the ring almost two months after her initial character reveal. 2B is only the second guest character of the iconic fighting game, joining alongside The Witcher 3‘s Geralt who was included in the base game’s roster. Don’t ask us how 2B’s arrival makes any sense to the game’s medieval setting because we can’t answer that. What we can tell you, though, is that the beloved android from Platinum Games’ Nier Automata will be joining the Soul Calibur 6 roster on December 18. 2B will be bringing along her trusted swords, Virtuous Contract and Virtuous Treaty with her. From the looks of the character reveal we saw back in October, 2B looks like she’ll a favorite for those who prefer fighters of the speedy variety. Although the director and his forthcoming project was a no-show at the major awards event, fans are wondering whether a new video posted by the veteran game developer is a teaser for a larger announcement. On his official Twitter account, Death Stranding creator Hideo Kojima posted a 56-second long “trailer” for the game.
