GTA Online After Hours is coming later this month, and it brings back a character from the past. Yeah, you read the headline right. Gay Tony is back in GTA Online After Hours, and we’re rather excited over the news. We last saw Tony in Grand Theft Auto 4: The Ballad of Gay Tony. He starred in his own DLC after being introduced as a minor character in the game and its first DLC, the Lost and Damned. The GTA Online update will also bring DJs Solomun, Tale of Us, Dixon and The Black Madonna to Nightclubs across the city of Los Santos. Players will partner with Gay Tony to open and operate a “top shelf” nightclub featuring the aforementioned DJs. The club will be used as a front for “the most concentrated network of criminal enterprise ever to hit San Andreas.” Sounds like a blast. GTA Online After Hours will release on July 24. … [Read more...] about GTA Online After Hours brings back fan-favorite character Gay Tony
The Dauntless open beta, which kicked off May 24, has seen over two million players jump into the co-op action-RPG. Phoenix Labs has announced over two million players have checked out Dauntless, a figure that’s up from one million in June. To celebrate the milestone, the studio announced a release date for the next major content expansion. Titled The Coming Storm, the free content will expand the Shattered Isles on August 9. Alongside the added content, changes are coming to the Behemoth ecosystem, causing the monsters to evolve their “usual behavior and form.” Here’s what to expect when The Coming Storm releases: It begins when an Ostian Dreadnaught, bristling with industrial might and an indignant crew, crashes into Ramsgate, the central hub in Dauntless, reshaping the sprawling city and introducing players to a variety of new NPCs, stories, and quests. A new Behemoth, Koshai, the Sovereign of Thorns, stirs beyond the horizon. Members of the … [Read more...] about Dauntless open beta has over two million players
Fortnite is currently down for maintenance just before the new week of challenges drop. This downtime usually lasts for a few hours, so there’s not long left to wait. When are the Fortnite Servers back up? Epic Games referenced the downtime on Twitter, asking people to check their official status page for updates. For reference, last week’s downtime lasted from about 8am UTC to 10:15am UTC (9am GMT to 11:15am GMT). That means we’d expect roughly another hour until the Fortnite servers are back up. While you wait, dataminers have leaked a preliminary list of the Fortnite Season 5 Week 2 challenges so you can get a heads up on the competition. Based on that list, we’ve put together guides for a couple of the more difficult challenges – including how to score a basket on different hoops, and where to search between an Oasis, Rock Archway and Dinosaurs. … [Read more...] about When are the Fortnite Servers back up?
This week’s fresh set of Fortnite challenges have leaked early. Here’s a sneak preview at Season 5 Week 2. These details come from FortniteInsider who datamine the new patches for info on upcoming challenge weeks. As with last week, Season 5’s Week 2 challenges are split into Free and Battle Pass tiers. The first three can be completed by everyone, while you’ll need to buy the Battle Pass to complete the remaining four. Fortnite Season 5 Week 2 challenges: Deal 1000 damage to opponents with Assault Rifles Assault Rifles are super common, so hopefully this challenge should pop with enough normal play. 1000 damage is equivalent to ten eliminations with normal health or five with full health and shields. Search 7 ammo boxes in a single match We saw this challenge during Season 4, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s just a placeholder. This seems difficult if you’re not trying specifically to do it, but if you land in less popular spots … [Read more...] about The Fortnite Season 5 Week 2 challenges have leaked – take a sneak peek
It seems work on the next God of War is already underway at developer Sony Santa Monica. The studio has posted a number of ads to fill different jobs in various development disciplines. Most of the recent listings were created around March, just a couple of weeks prior to the launch of God of War. The most recent ad, however, was posted this week, and it’s seeking a senior character concept artist to work on an unnamed project. We do know it’ll involve some historical/mythological characters. The description says the job will have the artist creating “characters, gods, creatures, and props.” “Come help us design a rich cast of characters and creatures steeped in story, mythology, mixed with strong historical detail and influences,” it further explains. Assuming the studio is not working on an expansion of some kind to this year’s game, this is probably for the next game in the series. Considering how God of War ended, we can’t wait to see … [Read more...] about God of War developer is hiring character artists to design gods and monsters for next game
