Screenshots from the fan-updated OpenRA. EA have now officially announced their Command & Conquer remasters, and they look to be in good hands. Several of the strategy classics’s original developers are returning, including talent from ex-Westwood folks Petroglyph and original composer Frank Klepacki. Together, they’re polishing up the original Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn, along with its alt-history cousin C&C: Red Alert, plus all expansions for both games. Preempting the cynics amongst us, EA have also confirmed that there’ll be no micro-transactions. The devs announce the news below. EA producer Jim Vessella made the full announcement on the Command & Conquer Reddit page, where he’d previously teased it in October. Calling it “the first offering”, the first two C&C games plus all expansions released as “one remastered collection”. Right now, nothing is set in stone, and both EA and Petroglyph are reaching out to … [Read more...] about EA get the band back together for Command & Conquer and Red Alert remasters
If you’re one of those lucky people who decided to get your favorite football team’s jersey last week when Epic Games added them to Fortnite, congratulations! You’re one of the ones who got one of the Fortnite NFL skins before they were removed from the game just yesterday, November 13. While the NFL has had its share of controversy, ranging from Aaron Hernandez (who committed murder and would later kill himself in his cell), various domestic abuse allegations towards players, and most recently Colin Kaepernick and the kneeling trend that many other players have picked up, … [Read more...] about Fortnite NFL Skins Get Pulled Days After Their Introduction, But Why?
Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, or Untie as I constantly want to write it, is coming to mobile in 2019. Niantic, Portkey Games, and WB Games have released the first teaser trailer for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, and folks are also able to sign up for news through the official website. The augmented reality mobile game Harry Potter: Wizards Unite works similar to Pokemon Go in the sense players will explore real-world surroundings. While doing so, they will “unravel a global mystery,” cast spells, and come into contact with fantastic beasts and iconic characters from the franchise. Here’s the blurb: Please resist the urge to panic. Traces of magic are appearing across the Muggle world without warning and in a rather chaotic manner. We worry it is only a matter of time before even the most incurious Muggles catch wind of it. We call on all witches and wizards to help contain the Calamity or risk the worst of times since You Know Who. Brush up on your spells, get your … [Read more...] about You can now “enlist” for Harry Potter: Wizards Unite – coming in 2019
