Man Utd’s transfer deadline day plans
According to Sky Sports News, United won’t be signing anyone today – and Marouane Fellaini’s exit may not happen until next month either.
But a new deal for Anthony Martial could be rubberstamped today.
Other reports have suggested United remain in the market for a defender on deadline day.
Newcastle looking to seal three deals
Newcastle United are hoping to sign Miguel Almiron, Antonio Barreca and also Andreas Samaris ahead of tonight’s deadline.
Almiron spent the night in Newcastle and will become the club’s record signing when he is announced later.
Samaris and Barreca are both close to joining him on loan moves.
Arsenal face losing battle for Carrasco
Arsenal are increasingly unlikely to sign Yannick Carrasco before the deadline, Telegraph Football are reporting…
Arsenal are facing defeat in their ambitious late attempts to sign Yannick Carrasco before the transfer deadline passes. Having completed a loan move for Denis Suarez Arsenal had moved for Carrasco after Inter Milan made it clear they only wanted Ivan Perisic to move on a permanent basis.
Arsenal had continued to negotiate with Inter, with Perisic handing in a transfer request to try and force the move, but did not want to agree to an obligation to buy – they wanted an option – after a loan until the end of this season.
It opened the way for a move for Carrasco who is desperate to leave Chinese club Dalian Yifang and was prepared to take a pay cut to return to Europe.
However although the deal is not dead it is understood that the two clubs are far apart in the level of loan fee for Carrasco and it is not thought likely that a compromise will be reached for the 25-year-old Belgium international before the window closes.
West Ham to ‘revisit’ Maxi Gomez interest
According to Sky Sports News, West Ham will bide their time over a deal for Celta Vigo story Maxi Gomez and are prepared to wait until the summer to complete a deal.

According to ESPN FC , Mauricio Pochettino has identified 22-year-old Spaniard Soler as a summer target after closely following his progress.
Chelsea look for Doucoure
Chelsea are looking to make a move for Abdoulaye Doucoure on Deadline Day.
The 26-year-old midfielder missed out as the Hornets lost 2-1 defeat at Spurs on Wednesday night.
Mirror Football now reports that Maurizio Sarri is eyeing the midfielder to replace Cesc Fabregas.
PSG are also thought to be keen admirers of Doucoure with a busy day expected.
Spurs eye £30m swoop

Arsenal face Carrasco competition
AC Milan have joined Arsenal in the hunt for Belgium winger Yannick Carrasco.
The Italian side have spoken with Chinese side Dalian Yifang about a possible loan move.
Arsenal have also held talks with Carrasco’s representatives but now looks unlikely.

Joao Felix hunt
Manchester United are continuing to keep tabs on Joao Felix.
The skillful Benfica forward is a wanted man across Europe with Liverpool also linked.

Rabiot linked with Spurs and Liverpool
Speculation about late Premier League interest in Adrien Rabiot has emerged.
Both Spurs and Liverpool are being linked a move for the PSG midfielder.
Rabiot is out of contract in the summer and he could move ahead of today’s deadline .
Catalan newspaper Sport say he could still move to Spurs or Liverpool before the end of this transfer window, although if they fail to secure his services now they could wait and land him for free in the summer.
PSG could sanction a move for the 23-year-old who could leave for nothing in the summer.
Sardar Azmoun to Wolves
Wolves are hoping to sign Iranian striker Sardar Azmoun, according to Sky Sports News.
A loan deal is being a discussion with a £1.75m fee with an £11.4m option to buy at the end of the season.
But it is understood his current club, Rubin Kazan, want an obligation to buy whilst Wolves want to have an option in the summer.
Chelsea’s Willian is reportedly a shock target for PSG.
The French side are looking for a replacement after Neymar was ruled out for the next ten weeks.
The Mail reports that Chelsea have been approached over the Brazilian who has 18 months remaining on his current deal.
Rakitic on Premier League speculation
Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic has dismissed speculation linking him with a summer move to the Premier League.
Chelsea and Manchester United are both thought to be keen on the experienced Croatian midfielder.
The 30-year-old could leave Barca with youngster Frenkie De Jong arriving at the end of the season.
Rakitic has admitted his future is in doubt but he appears determined to stay in Spain.
“Since I’ve been here I do not know how many times I’ve left and I’m back,” Rakitic said after Barcelona’s Copa del Rey success over Sevilla.
“I’m more than happy here and my intention is to be here longer.
“I gave the president a little nudge to see if he would wake up with my renewal.”

Arsenal plan deadline day signing
Arsenal are working on a deal to sign Paris Saint-Germain’s Christopher Nkunku, reports BBC Sport.
The 21-year-old midfielder emerged as a prime target for Unai Emery who looks set to miss out on Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan or fellow winger Yannick Carrasco from Dalian Yifan.
They are now trying to sign Nkunku on a similar deal that has brought Denis Suarez to the Emirates Stadium from Barcelona.

West Ham United are one of the clubs who have enquired about Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud.
Mail Online Sport report that the Hammers are looking at the Frenchman as a possible striking target.

Prime Irons target Maxi Gomez is reluctant to join from Celta Vigo and that deal looks to wait until the summer.
Mesut Ozil to PSG?
Paris Saint-Germain have made a Deadline Day loan move for Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil, according to reports in France.
But it seems that the former German international has turned down their advances to stay at the Emirates.
Ozil made his first appearance for Arsenal in their win over Cardiff City and he was given the captain’s armband.
Real Madrid eye £100m Rashford move
Reports suggest that Real Madrid are planning a £100m move for Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford.
The England striker is currently holding contract extension talks at Old Trafford.
But it seems that Madrid could look to force the issue by moving for the 21-year-old
Rashford has come into form under interim boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and United are confident he will stay at the club.
Fulham flop set for exit
Fulham ace Aboubakar Kamara has arrived in Turkey to seal a loan move to Yeni Malatyaspor.

Arsenal encouraged to sign Carrasco
Yannick Carrasco would impress at Arsenal, says Steve Nicol.
He said: “So Carrasco would be a good signing.
“Probably I would think that, he’s in China right now, clearly he went to China for the money.
“But when you go to a place like that, all of a sudden the money doesn’t quite fit the bill, it doesn’t quite make you happy.
“So I think Arsenal are going to get a guy that’s going to come to the Premier League and we are going to see the best of Carrasco.
United youngster could depart
Fulham and Cardiff are weighing up a deadline day move for Manchester United defender Demitri Mitchell, according to reports.
The 22-year-old has spent this season on loan at Scottish Premiership side Hearts, but United could cancel that agreement if a suitable offer is received for the four-times-capped England under-20 international.
Football Insider report that both Fulham and Cardiff have made contact with the player’s representatives after monitoring the left-back’s progress over the course of the campaign.
Mitchell, who made his sole first-team appearance for United on the final day of the 2016/17 season, remains behind Luke Shaw, Diogo Dalot, Matteo Darmian and Ashley Young in the pecking order at Old Trafford.
West Ham reject Hernandez bid
West Ham have rejected a £7m offer from Valencia for Javier Hernandez.
Sky Sports have made the claim and say the former Manchester United man is eager to leave the Hammers because of his lack of game-time, and that Valencia are interested in bringing him to La Liga.

It could be a busy day at West Ham
