Abbey Mastracco NHL writer Published 2:55 PM EST Feb 1, 2019 NEWARK — The Devils will be without a large contingent when they face the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday at Bell Centre. Another name was added to the list of injured players on Friday with coach John Hynes revealing second-line center and alternate captain Travis Zajac will not make the trip to Montreal and will remain back in New Jersey through the weekend. Zajac did not practice with the team at RWJBarnabas Health Hockey House on Friday, sitting out with a lower-body injury. He left Thursday night’s game against the Rangers in the first period but returned for the second and played 21:04 but Hynes confirmed the injury stemmed from the play that forced him out momentarily. Defenseman Andy Greene was also held out of practice but the captain is expected to travel with the team and play Saturday afternoon. Stefan Noesen (lower-body) and Joey Anderson (ankle surgery) practiced with the Devils but did not take line rushes.
