Supergiant Games, the developers of Bastion and Transistor, have announced their newest game, Hades, at The Game Awards in Los Angeles. The game is described as a “rogue-like dungeon crawler” set in the Underworld, with hand-drawn artwork and fast-paced action. It appears to be more of a traditional action game than Supergiant’s last game, Pyre (which blended basketball with text-based storytelling). Hades is available for $19.99 on PC on the newly-announced Epic Games store, and is listed as being “early access.” It was also revealed that Hades will be updated with new content post-release. We’ll have more on Hades once we’ve had a chance to play it.
