You’d think that as a peripheral, flocks of webcams would be on sale during events like Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but last year, the only truly enticing deal we found was $50 off the Logitech C920. Since then, that seems to have become its regular list price. Honestly speaking, we don’t know what to expect this year, so we’ll be extra vigilant to search for deals. There’s no telling what could turn up.
Normally, we would advise purchasing the newest version of whatever you’re in the market for. Webcam technology, however, advances at a snail’s pace. The Logitech C920, for example, is still one of the best webcams despite being six years old, so don’t dismiss an option just because its has wrinkles.
Nobody needs a 4K webcam yet, but if it’s something on your wish list, you may consider the Logitech Brio. With 4K and HDR recording, it’s the most advanced webcam we’ve seen to date. You can already pick it up for $168 (a $31 saving), but we recommend waiting until the sale to buy.
Then there’s the disk-like Razer Kiyo and its built-in ring light, which is tremendously helpful in dark settings. It’s currently listed for $14 off – the lowest it’s ever been. You can pick it up now, or wait to see if it drops further during the sale.
Black Friday 2018 and Cyber Monday 2018 will land on November 23 and November 28 this year. As always, be mindful of your needs and your budget, choose to buy from reputable retailers, and most importantly, follow our buying guides for the best hardware deals this sales event.
