PS4 Exclusives of 2018
God of War 4
God of War also known as God of War 4 is a third-person action-adventure video game whose developers are Santa Monica Studio and was published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game is the eighth part of the God of War franchise.
Kratos is again the main lead in this part but there will be one new character added as well which is his son named Atreus. Kratos will be playing a role of a father and a teacher as well. He will guide is son along his journey to master that rage which was inside him all along.
The game focuses on the Norse mythology as all of the previous parts was based on the Greek myth. The developer thought that it’s time to let in some new storyline to take place.
This game is a bit different from the previous one as Kratos no longer has his famous weapon, double-chained blades, rather he will use the Leviathan Axe.
Ghost of Tsushima
Ghost of Tsushima is developed by Sucker Punch Productions and is exclusive to PlayStation 4. This is an action-stealth video game played in the third person viewing.
The game is said to take place on an island of Japan, Tsushima 1274. The main lead is a male character named JIN who fights off against the Mongolians that are invading his home place.
The plot of the game is that our hero is bound by his samurai tradition which is leading him nowhere. So he must improvise and adopt the ways of a ghost.

Final Fantasy VII Remake
Final Fantasy VII Remake as the name tells us is the remake of the 1997 Final Fantasy VII. The game developers and publishers are the Square Enix. This is an action role-playing video game with a third person viewpoint.
The game focuses on the same storyline but few new elements are added and is said to be released as a multipart series. Final Fantasy VII focuses on the same person Cloud Strife who is also an ex Shinra Soldier that is hired as a mercenary by AVALANCHE eco-terrorist group to fight off against the Shinra organization.
Death Stranding is an action video game which is developed by the Kojima Productions and is published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game is a first-person perspective play which is played in an open world.
Norman Reedus and Mads Mikkelsen are featured in this game as the leading characters. Director Kojima viewpoint was to create a game in which players interact with each other, rather than killing one another the game focuses on a much deeper angel.
There are two modes in the game one is a single player where the player has to fight off against computer controlled enemies and the other is online where the enemies are controlled by the humans.
Days Gone is an action-adventure horror video game which is developed and published by SIE Bend Studio and Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game is played through a third person view and is played in an open world environment. Unreal Engine 4 is used in its development.
The main leading role is a male character Deacon St. John who is a wanderer and a bounty hunter and lives his life on the road. The plot of the game is that a global disease occurred which killed most of the world’s population and turned the rest into zombies called “Freakers”.
The game is played in an open world environment which means the player can use its surroundings to use a more aggressive approach by attacking the enemies using long and short ranged weapons or can play in a more defensive stealth mode.
Xbox One Exclusives of 2018
Xbox One has struggled with exclusives this entire generation. However, Microsoft is looking to change that with proper first-party support and better third-party relations.
To be honest, PUBG is one of the best battle royal game of all time. Developed by the PUBG corporation, the game is a massive success of both PC, and Xbox One.
One Xbox One the title is in early access but a 2018 release for version 1.0 is on the cards.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is an online multiplayer battle royale game. The game is a PVP game in which there are 100 players including yourself that battle each other out till the end. Meaning the last man standing to win.
There are different modes in the game where the player can either play alone or with a team up to four people.
There are houses, barns and others buildings where a player can find weapons, armor, med kits, grenades and other stuff.
Players can either play as a third person or a first person, having their own respective advantage according to the situation that is in front. We can loot by killing others player and also can upgrade our weapons and armor.
After every few minutes the map shrinks down and those who are not in the safe zone are damaged by the storm and can be killed if the health runs out. Also, there are different drop points where a plane drops down boxes which contain various loots and sometimes cosmetic items as well.
Developer’s Reagent Games and Sumo Digital have brought about an action-adventure video game which focuses on the open world, CRACKDOWN 3. The game publishers Microsoft Studios have not announced any final date of release but it could be said that the game might be released this year 2018 spring. The game was announced as an
Xbox One exclusive on the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2014.
Players take a role of an agent of the Shadow Agency and his job is to clear out mob bosses, gangsters from the city and bring peace using immense firepower which he acquires from these criminals. The player can travel from one place to another, jumping from buildings collecting orbs.
Sea of Thieves
The genre of this game is action-adventure which is developed by Rare and the publisher of the game are the Microsoft Studios. The art style of the game is similar to cartoons.
The theme of the game is pirate based as the name tells us. It is a first-person viewed game in which players set out to discover the open world on their pirate ship and take the various task of steering the ship, using canons, hoisting the sails and even can shot out from the cannons.
Player will take on a different quest, find or collect loots from others players. As this game is an open world and multiplayer, players will come across one another often.
Sea of Thieves was developed using the Unreal Engine 4 and is said to be released on March 20, 2018.
State Of Decay 2
State of Decay 2 is a sequel to its previous part in 2013. The game is a survival video game which was published by Microsoft Studios and the developers are Undead Labs.
Unreal Engine 4 was used in the developing of this game.
The game is said to be released on 20 March 2018 alongside with Sea of Thieves and yes this is an Xbox One exclusive.

Confirmed Nintendo Switch Exclusives
So what are the confirmed Nintendo Switch exclusives for 2018? Well, there is a long list but we are going to pick the best 5 from the lot. Sadly, there is a lack of originality and most of the games coming out are remasters. Still, that doesn’t mean we won’t see announcements soon.
Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2
Both games are being bundled together for Nintendo Switch. After the announcement of Bayonetta 3, this seems like a great idea as it allows players to experience these games on Switch for the first time. Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 are releasing on February 16.
Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze
Another Wii U game coming to Nintendo Switch on May 4th. The game in question is non-other than Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze. The game is adding a new character named Funky Kong. We can expect updated visuals and optimized controls for Nintendo Switch.
Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition
This one is one of the most anticipated games of 2018. Nintendo Switch is getting the revamped version of Hyrule Warriors with loads of contents. Maps, characters, missions from the Wii U and 3DS version are included for Nintendo Switch players.
Fire Emblem for Nintendo Switch
Fire Emblem was created for Nintendo’s first console but soon after the game mainly released on handhelds. According to Nintendo, a new Fire Emblem game is currently in development for Nintendo Switch. More details will arrive soon but for now nothing is known outside of its 2018 release window.

Apart from a new Fire Emblem game, Nintendo Switch is also getting Yoshi. The platform will use unique gameplay elements, each level to appear like a diorama. Yoshi will also support for co-op play.
